Thinking about adding a shower

Wife and I are considering redoing this bathroom in her parents house. It's a two bathroom house but only one has a shower so we want to add one to this bathroom. Weve never done this before so we're not sure if the window being there will be a problem. The house also has a noticeable lack of windows/ventilation so we want to keep that window, even if it means we can't put a shower there.

I imagine any shower would have to be tiled in by hand since I doubt there's an insert that would work without cutting a hole for the window. I imagine a major drawback would be that water would want to collect on the sil and around all the openings. Are there any other issues with this?

Open During Construction

I've finally (mostly) decided on a layout for my house and have a decent amount of work done. It's still very much a work in progress, I'm not 100% decided on the colors or wall themes and the room I have are not finished, but I'm happy with it so far.

First dash prototype is done

Finally got a working prototype for my cars instrument panel project. Just running a test script for now to make sure everything works at the same time.

We've got the gauges, warning lights, and LCDs to display the milage.

More updates will come as hardware is added and the actual code is written. GitHub link for anyone interested

Need help getting ST7789 Newxie display working with ESP32

I have been working on this code for a couple days and I cant seem to get these two LCDs to display anything. All I get is a blank screen. They each worked when they were connected to an arduino uno, but just don't with an esp32s2. Any ideas? I have a Link to my github with the code. This was the code that worked with arduino that I had claude AI help adapt to an ESP. When it didnt work I tried writing it from scratch myself and I was still getting the same results, just backlight on and no display. I did check all the wires and they aren't broken either and everything is connected correctly as far as i can tell. Below is the schematic and picture of the circuit. Any help or ideas is greatly appreciated.

Why can't I decide on a layout

I was finally happy with how my house was turning out. I was even ready to show it off as a very much work in progress, nothing is dyed properly and all my walls and pillars are mismatched. But then I just happened to be playing around with the floorplan editor on the wowdb page and realized if I changed how I built a hallway I could fit 5 rooms in the space I have 4 in AND do it for 3 less room budget. So now my top floor has been deleted and I have to rebuild all the rooms from scratch.

Why am I like this? Send help
