My live reaction to seeing the news that (my dream school) FSU’s new median LSAT is a 169 with a 3.93 GPA
Current score is a 162 btw. Wish me luck I gotta get a 170 by November.

Help* The last lsat I took was June 2024 and received my highest score of a 162. My goal score is a 167-170. I just need some advice on how to pick back up into lsat studying now that games are gone. LR was always a strong section for me, so I feel confident not starting studying from scratch but I still have some weak spots that could use improvement, along with my timing for RC. Any advice? When should I aim to retake the lsat if I want to be early in the next law school application cycle? Should I take a practice test this weekend to see where I’m at without logic games? Thanks in advance!!
I have been out of school for a while, and working at a law firm full time getting great experience. I was planning to apply this past cycle but because of my undergrad GPA being below most schools’ medians, I realized my application was not as strong as it needs to be to get into the schools I am interested in. I am fully ready to commit my summer to bringing up my score as I really think I need atleast a 170+ to make me a competitive applicant. LR has been one of my best sections, only missing 2 to 4. RC could use some time improvement. What would you recommend for a strategy for me to get my goal score?
The last lsat I took was in 2024 (June I think?) I got a 162 which is my highest score.
I’m looking to apply to law school this next upcoming cycle and I want to increase my LSAT by 5-8 points.
Since I don’t necessarily have to start from scratch with LSAT studying, what sort of strategy would you recommend to someone like me who is aiming to retake for September / October? I did well with LR, missing only usually 2 - 5 questions per section if I remember correctly. My RC could probably use some time improvement. Should I take a timed practice test this week to see where I’m at? Thanks in advance!!
Hey guys, ty in advance for the advice! The last LSAT I took had logic games, (June of 2024 I think?) It was my highest score, a 162. I had planned on applying this past cycle but working full time and having a lot extra things on my plate didn't allow me the time I needed to build my application as strong as I wanted. So I decided to apply for the next upcoming cycle.
My biggest obstacle with my application is definitely my overall undergrad GPA. I brought my grades way up the last two years but my overall is below most law school medians. (I plan to write an academic addendum for this.)
I know it is important to have a good LSAT score for me to offset my GPA and be competitive at most schools. With all being said, I understand that the LSAT now only has LR and RC? LR was one of my best sections and RC was decent. Since I don't have to start over with studying, would it be worth it for me to take a practice test to see where I am, and then study over the summer to retake in August / September? Or should I just apply with my 162?
Hey guys, any advice on this is much appreciated! The last LSAT I took was the last LSAT offered with logic games. (June of 2024 I think?) I scored a 162. Long story short, I had planned to apply this past cycle but I work full time and had a lot of stuff on my plate, so it’s taken me a while to build my application really strong. I decided to apply for next cycle. I would say my biggest obstacle right now is overcoming my undergrad gpa. I graduated in 2019 and I fall below most schools’ median GPA’s. (I did bring my grades up the last two years substantially and am planning on writing an addendum for my applications explaining the low grades)
So all of this being said, I am now considering taking the LSAT again in hopes of making my application much stronger to offset my lower gpa. I understand it’s just logic reasoning and Reading comp on the test now? I did very well with LR and decent enough with RC. I know it’s about to be May but since I don’t have to start with lsat prep from scratch maybe it would be worth taking a practice test to see where I’m at with the new format? Would I have enough time to hit the studying hard this summer and possibly retake for August / October?
