Anyone else lagging behind with quests? Love that they put a quest tracker/Story Replay feature (even if it's not working yet). Day 1 player but here's me just finishing Loong quest with Lucy and Rebecca during 3.4 😅
Switch 2 edition preload is live! For comparison, Switch 1 version is about 5 GB and Steam is 18 GB. No more blurry screens (next week)! Hooray! 😆
New player here. Looking for some guidance but also wanted to share my experience with other beginners.
Do the main story first. This is what you will always see recommended on every guide and video so I did. This is up until what's called the Final Chapter. By the time I finished this, my party was level 40. Because a lot of people also recommended holding off using crewmate cards, I only unlocked Zeta (main) and Cagliostro. The rest were Katalina, MC, Eugen, Rosetta, and eventually Id.
After this, you get Chapter 0 which is considered to be the epilogue. You will see tasks * out of 8 at the top right of the screen but this is very misleading. This part took so long, my party members went from level 40 to level 76. Had I known, I would have unlocked a few characters just to break the monotony. If you unlock now, they will join you at level 45. If you wait until you finish Chapter 0, you get them at level 60 (which I believe is the highest at the moment). If you ever feel like you're stuck here, just keep doing the orange x quests.
This is where I'm at now. My next goal is to "(Endless Ragnarok) Progress through Maniac quests".
Q1: Should I strive to blaze through and complete this whole section now, or take a breather and start working on my team and just do mindless sidequest grinding?
Q2: What's next after this Endless Ragnarok arc, or am I entering true postgame grind now? When should I start upgrading my weapon and sigils? At the moment, I'm just maintaining everyone at level 100-125 weapons.
Q3: Have everyone unlocked except the new characters. Is this a balanced team?
Zeta - Eustace - Cagliostro - Vane
Is the AI competent enough to make Vane an aggro tank with his Hostility UP? Is that a thing in this game? How does aggro work? Or is it negligible and players should just always strive for the quickest kill?
Q4: In online multiplayer, is a support role viable or everyone is just expected to always go for the kill?

Or maybe I just missed it. What do we know? What do we think? Only thing I'll mention is that Genesis lady's seems to be more of a head/hair accessory vs. Neilnail's which is facepaint(?). Or is this just a reused design that they hope to serve as a red herring?
And I was just about to ask where the update was 😅
The update feels like a lazy cop out. All it does is bump up the monsties to Lv99 (in my case). I wonder if this is tied to the player level? Anyone who's not yet 99 and completed Aenshin (Hard)?
The problem is you lose Quick Finish and if you're like me who just likes logging now and then to roam around the world, collect eggs and other loot, this interrupts your flow. And yes, I tried fighting them again and it doesn't give you QF for the succeeding fights.
They didn't mention in the spotlight, we do get new accessories (free) and the crown icon in your save file changes when you have Royal Monsters unlocked. Until we get another update, I think this is it for me. It's been fun playing with you, guys (in spirit). 🤝 Ciao!
