This year the have improved the sound by making it a lot louder and removing some of the sibilance in the treble.
The frames are well built and have a spring.
For 10usd they are really really good and are almost invisible on your face.
I should have gotten the black version though
I've had this pico for over a month and since day 1 I've had this stuttering issue, it happens even when I'm getting 90 fps on a perfect connection. This doesn't happen on quest 2 I've tried everything.

I've been having this issue on my pico 4 where the image is stuttering and leaving ghosting when i move in game no matter what i do, doesn't happen on the quest 2

Even maxing out the fps and not getting any frame drops in a stable game like half life alyx the picture being shown in my headset is stuttering.
This happens in pico connect, quest link, steamlink and virtual desktop, even with vdxr both using a cable and not using a cable.
I don't get big frame drops it feels like a frame pacing issue, kind of like turning on vsync when you have small frame drops but in msi afterburner i don't see any frame drops
My vector hinges seems sturdy, don't know if i can trust them for long
Steam frames doesn't count, needs to be under 400 euro
I wish this was a real product that people could buy
I bought this pico 4 expecting to replace my quest 2, the problem is steam link doesn't give me an option to remove noise suppression in my microphone (the noise suppression is really bad)
When i use the pico connect app it is a stuttery mess, 90 fps on pico connect feels like 30fps on steam link

After extensive testing this us what I gathered.
The colors are washed out, the speakers have a very pronounced v curve, the microphone with noise cancelation is really bad and without it there's echo, the lenses are weird have a small sweet spot and warp, the os is really good and simple.
Compared to the quest 2
The pico has inferior speakers, screen, lenses, microphone.
I feel like a firmware update with better screen, speaker and mic calibration could fix it but that's probably not coming :(

I just got a pico 4 and I've had the quest 2 for a few years, when i first jumped into my vrchat world everything looked so different on the pico 4, the pico 4 is way sharper with my 5070 ti but even after fidling with the ipd for a while i feel like the sweetspot for the lenses is smaller than the quest.
Also the colors don't look as natural as the quest 2 and the speakers have a very pronounced v curve to them which i really dislike.
Any way i can fix this? Or maybe I'll just get used to it

I've always had a cheap cooling pad without a gasket but they only decreased ssd and ram temps, this cooler cools down even the cpu and gpu.
Costed me 33 usd
Only in this version of the laptop rtx 5070ti ryzen 9 this laptop has 2 ssd slots that only fit half sized ssds, whyyy
Also this laptop is very loud
