Things to look out when purchasing a flat (resell) in a gated community.

My friend is on look out for an apartment and has shortlisted one in a Gated community, outskirts of Chennai. This is his first purchase and is looking for help on the following.

  1. what documents to check if he decides to buy the flats
  2. Apart from documents, what other essentials should be checked in the GC

If anyone who has recently bought a flat in GC please share your experience.

Why do you guys share mobile numbers during billing?

You go to a shop, picks the required item/orders(subway,kfc). When it’s time to bill, you’re asked for your mobile number.

So far, I haven’t seen people questioning the reason for mobile number or decline to provide one. Why?

What I do - I have actively stopped sharing mobile numbers during billing. Few shops, like subway, decathlon, home center, will say they cannot bill without mobile number. In subway, apparels you can ask them to put in the employee number or a random number to generate bill. HC, decathlon will scare you that without mobile number, you cannot exchange items. You can very well exchange items with a proper bill.

Vibe-coded a split calculator for badminton games.

If you are part of a larger group and play at least 3-4 hrs, then calculating the split is a tedious task — with players' availability and different hourly rates for the court.

Built Splitr to solve exactly this. Add your slots, set the rate per slot, mark who played which hour — it calculates the exact split per person and lets you share it directly to WhatsApp.

Tired of jumping back into Figma every time a developer has a question about spacing, colors, or fonts? Built this plugin to fix exactly that.

Frame to Markdown exports your frames and components as clean, structured .md files — layer tree, typography, colors, gradients, auto-layout settings, and even tracks every component instance across your file. Works on multiple frames at once, and you can pick exactly which sections go into the doc using 11 section toggles.

There's a built-in Markdown preview inside the plugin so you can check the output before sharing. Everything runs offline — nothing leaves your Figma file.

Would love to hear how it fits into your handoff workflow. Drop a comment if you try it out!

Hey Chennai designers 👋

Built a small Figma plugin that's been helping me a lot with dev handoffs — thought I'd share it here before putting it out more widely.

Basically it lets you select any frame or component in Figma and export it as a Markdown file — layer structure, colors, fonts, spacing, everything. Super useful when you're working with developers and don't want to keep jumping back into Figma to answer the same questions.

Still refining it, would love to get some feedback from fellow designers here before I push it further.

Added link to the plugin in first comment.

My friends shops, which was listed in maps, seems to have been removed (not sure if someone reported it or a mistake). Is it possible to bring back the same details in maps? What options does he have?
