Did anybody see John at the Wisconsin State Fair?

I couldn’t make it to this but I’d love to know from anybody who made it out to see him perform at the Wisconsin State Fair. Just the idea of “John Mulaney + a state fair” is funny by itself and I’m sure he knew that better than anybody and that’s probably part of why he took a gig like that. He certainly represents a stark contrast to typical Wisconsin State Fair headliners (such as Winona Judd, the Isley Brothers, Mike Love fronted Beach Boys) so I am just really curious what kind of a crowd that was like and if he had any particular roasting tailored for Wisconsin.

What are the most obscure and unknown local treasure myths or mysteries you know about?

I'm working on a proposed project that identifies and explores obscure local lore anywhere in the world, and would like to ask if you know of anything that might fall in the "hidden treasure" or "unfound items" category of secrets in your community? The more hyper-local and niche, the better.

To be clear this is to be a genre-blending and somewhat satirical project that will both take subject matter seriously while simultaneously lampooning shows in the "Destination Truth" mold that take rumors and myths and mysteries so seriously that it almost becomes a parody of itself. As such I am looking for both things that genuinely deserve to be taken seriously as well as things that would be funny to treat super seriously and to have a host be obsessed with finding. Basically anything that could actually feasibly be FOUND, whether it's a lost mine or Captain Kidd's Treasure, or something much less mythologized and unknown like a hidden safe or a buried chest or a sunken statue of Alf or a supposedly magical boulder, or anything in between. Weird is good. Obscure is great. Bizarre and offbeat is ideal. Mysteries that only a handful of people are even aware of and that have hardly been publicized is what I would prefer most. Just so long as it's interesting and would be "newsworthy" if it was ever discovered.

Of course, I understand just asking for something like this in a public forum could be seen as opportunistic or "too easy" or cutting corners, and I am mindful that discretion is key for something like this. I am not trying to unscrupulously get the jump on anybody or steal anybody's pot of gold here. "Thrill of the hunt" or the joy of discovery and historical value are the main themes I am seeking, not any cynical get rich quick schemes. So if you know of something that meets these parameters I would love to hear them, either in here or in a private message. This could be an opportunity to potentially put some time and resources towards tracking down and uncovering certain treasures that might be out there but have never meaningfully been hunted for yet.

this could have been Debs fault

we dont know yet, she could have made New swerve the boat, she could have swim out from under it but didn't either, makes you think!! 🤔

Im' just saying, lets not just dump to conclusions, New has a lot on his plate going after the Deep State and this could have been a set up too that Deb did, we just dont know yet, as for me I am going ot reserve my judgements until after I cast my ballot at the ballot box for New Amato in the Phoenix Governors Mansion!

I stand with new

What are some obscure mysteries/secrets/myths in the LA area you know about?

I'm working on a project that identifies and explores obscure local lore within LA, and would like to ask if you know of anything that might fall in the "hidden treasure" or "unfound items" category of rumors or mysteries or secrets or myths? To be clear this is a somewhat satirical project that lampoons shows that take stuff like that super seriously, so I am looking for both things that deserve to be taken seriously as well as things that would be funny to treat super seriously and to have somebody be obsessed with finding. I have to imagine LA of all places would be rich with these kinds of things. Basically anything that could actually feasibly be FOUND, whether it's a lost mine or the Black Bart Treasure, or something much less mythologized and unknown like a hidden safe or a buried chest or a sunken statue of Alf or a supposedly magical boulder, or anything in between. Weird is good. The more obscure and niche the better. Just so long as it's interesting and has some degree of buzz and people who are interested in it and that it would be "newsworthy" if it was ever discovered. Thank you very much.
