Finally received the adapter kit and got it fully put back together. For now a Mercedes GT2 until my Etsy bmw badges arrive but what a great wheel. My first round clubsport fanatec wheel and it's amazing! Heavy AF lol but with the DD+ it doesn't feel muted at all.
Essentially got the wheel for $25 after selling the base it was bundled with. I assume the seller knew the wheel was broken but I didn't realize it at after a quick checkup. Anyway, pulled the wheel apart and found the frame was cracked. Got a local alloy wheel repair place to weld it up. Now I'm just waiting for the QR2 adapter to arrive. If you have a V1 that is broken, it is repairable.
Probably a lost cause but I got it for a good deal and want to save it. I could ignore it but long term it'll only get worse. Currently have reinforced jb weld curing but I don't have high hopes since the aluminum is so thin in those areas.
I made and 3D printed this mount to make it easier to carry around the U-Lock. Shame these weren't sold in the USA until now and they're discontinued, I really like it.
After updating the base(DD+) and wheel whenever I turn on the base with the wheel attached, the OLED doesn't light up or function at all. I then have to disconnect the wheel and reconnect with the base on, then it starts working.
