Where can I find the best Cantonese food in KL?

Couple of days ago had Cantonese Fried Beef Noodles from Madam Kwan’s and it was amazing. Looking to try more Cantonese dishes here in KL. Budget doesn’t matter but food has to be really good. Please give some suggestions. Thank you.

5 days in KL 5 more days to go

We came to KL for 10 days purely to experience some really good food, both local and international, and it has honestly been such a fun food adventure so far!

We’ve tried so many places in the past 5 days and have really enjoyed exploring the different flavours KL has to offer. We’re only halfway through our trip, so we’re looking to try even more!

We tried Village Park Nasi Lemak and it was amazing. Personally, though, I actually preferred the Nasi Lemak at Madam Kwan’s in TRX Mall. My husband, on the other hand, absolutely loved Village Park more 😂

Now we’re looking for recommendations for the BEST places to try, especially:
Really good noodles
Fried rice
Chinese style beef dishes with gravy
Chinese style chicken dishes with gravy
Japanese Katsu & Ramen
Any other absolute must try dishes or restaurants you think we shouldn’t miss!

We have another 5 days left, so please give us your BEST recommendations! ❤️
Thank you! 😊

How do you not fall sick with all the AC & Ice?

Beautiful city and I’m really enjoying my time here. But I fell sick within two days! I’m here now enjoying my vacation with a cold lol. The malls are super cold and even the cabs have the AC blasting. The cab drivers have been kind enough to turn the AC down for us whenever we ask. But with it being so hot and humid during the day, we end up spending most of our time in the malls.
I’m genuinely curious, how do you guys manage? Also, all the iced drinks here are like 80% ice! It’s amazing to see everyone enjoying them. I wish I could, but I’m pretty sure one sip would have my throat gone lol.

Going crazy over booking stay in KL

We’re coming to Kuala Lumpur for 11 nights and honestly, reading Google reviews has been a bit scary.
Our budget is around MYR 200 per night and even highly rated Airbnbs seem to have complaints about cockroaches, mold or pests. We’re not expecting luxury at this price, but we do expect basic cleanliness.
Our biggest deal breakers are cleanliness and noise, yet almost every property seems to have mixed or poor reviews.
Can anyone recommend a hotel or Airbnb in the KLCC, Bukit Bintang, or TRX area that’s clean, quiet and worth the money? We’d really appreciate any suggestions or properties you’ve personally stayed at. Thanks!

12 days late - Negative Pregnancy Test

My last period started on June 19. Based on my average 29-day cycle, I was expecting my next period on July 17. I took a home urine pregnancy test on July 26, and it was negative. I also had a blood pregnancy test on July 28, and that was negative as well. I have a trip planned for the first week of August. Is there still any chance that I could be pregnant? I’m also wondering how I can get my period to start. Over the past two years, my periods have been surprisingly regular, so this delay has me worried.

Just a disclaimer: This list is based on my personal experience, recommendations from others and online reviews. I definitely haven’t tried every restaurant in this list. Is Mather Esperanza safe apartment?

We were considering renting an apartment at Mather Esperanza on Seaport Airport Road and recently visited the property. The apartment itself was nice, but the overall vibe of the outdoor common areas felt a bit strange. The layout gave us an almost abandoned building feel, which made us a little uneasy.

We were also concerned about security. Since the residential apartments are part of a larger commercial complex with a gym, restaurants and shops, it seems like anyone can enter the premises. We’re wondering how secure it actually is for families.

Has anyone lived there or had any experience with the property? We’d really appreciate any honest feedback, especially regarding safety, security and the overall living experience.
