I’m all for a challenge. I’ve played some of the worst of the worst matches 2K has thrown at us, the Sami ambulance match, casket matches but this was just a miserable experience and such a chore. My head physically hearts from being so pissed off at playing the game.
Seen this argument pop up constantly in reviews and comments and it’s always frustrated me.
Saying you can’t think of a use for Metas is like saying you can’t think of a use for a surfboard because you’ve never been to the beach. The lack of a personal use case isn’t a flaw in the product, it just means it’s not for you.
I have the sunglasses so I just use them as regular sunglasses 90% of the time but when I do use them it’s great for POV shots when I’m playing drums, travelling using live translation, navigation and capturing shots, listening to audio when my AirPods die, getting footage of concerts and sporting events without pulling my phone out and still being in the moment.
Even when I have no intention of using them for any smart features and I’m just wearing them as smart glasses I kept finding them useful for things like listening to WhatsApp voice notes without sticking the phone next to my ear.
The glasses aren’t trying to solve a universal problem. They’re solving specific problems for specific people and those people know exactly why they bought them.
EDIT: Some comments seem to have missed the point. This isn’t about convincing anyone to buy these glasses. It’s a response to the organised stigma and active campaigns against smart glasses, particularly here in the UK.

I feel like 95% of my matches are just reversals. I just turned the game off after 10 minutes because it actually gives me a headache with how infuriating it is to play. It’s unplayable.
You can’t strike unless you wait for a window where your opponent is about to go for a move. Every other move just gets reversed.
What’s the point in playing?
