If it became possible tomorrow, what's the minimum acceptable bio-TF that's "worth it" for you?

Heya! My name is Rika, also known as Tilt Wolf. I'm a biochemist and cell biologist, having served in various research and executive/board leadership roles at the Freedom of Form Foundation (2020-2026), most recently as VP & CSO. I'm also a coywolf therian since about 2005.

Last spring, I left the FFF alongside the CTO (Lathreas), and we're now excited to be putting together a new biotech startup aligned with the goal of "anthros in real life". Our company's working title is Transformation Biosciences, Inc., or TF Bio for short, and our site will launch fairly soon. TF Bio is focused on wet-lab tissue engineering research, likely starting with a combination of hair follicles, skin, and ear cartilage. We have enough funding already to get off the ground, but as we bring in more folks to fund the research, we need to understand what the therian community sees as a "minimum viable transformation" – the minimum set of body changes that you would accept for your own personal goals.

We already know that the vast majority of furries, according to FurScience @ University of Waterloo, would choose to become "less than 100% human" if given the option (>79%). But what we don't know is the minimum change that you're willing to accept, for a surgical procedure to be worth it to you right now. To be clear, we will not stop until we reach the full anthro TF goal, but we'd like to know the earliest point at which our work begins to help people.

So the question is this: if the medical technology appeared tomorrow to make it possible, which of the following is the minimum that you'd accept and undergo a voluntary procedure for?

This information helps steer which areas of research we focus on, and when.

Just for clarity, note that we're focusing on furry species for now, starting with wolves, because they are common and somewhat more anatomically feasible. Eventually, we will expand to other furry species. In the longer term, we may also branch out to scalies and avians, but the technical challenges there are quite a bit more intense~

We also welcome other STEM-trained therians and furries who want to collaborate with our little team of biological scientists working on this R&D, so please don't hesitate to DM~ :3

Where to find trans clothing swaps?

Heya! I'm a trans woman with quite a wardrobe of male clothes that I no longer have use for, mostly XL and 2X button-up short- and long-sleeved shirts and a bunch of black jeans. It's nice stuff, I want it to go to a good home.

I've never been to a trans clothing swap, but I've heard from friends that it's a thing. And I gotta make room for all my new dresses, skirts, and blouses! Where do I find local swap events?

Trans girl in need of guidance

Hey y'all! I'm 33 MtF and relatively early on my journey. I know very little about feminine fragrance, so I could use some suggestions.

In case it matters (since some fragrances supposedly "bring out" your natural scent): I don't have the "boy sweat" scent anymore, thanks to the black magic that is hormone replacement therapy. So, for all intents and purposes, my skin chemistry is femme-ish.

Thing is, I'm going on vacation with my best friend who I have feelings for, and I've got good reason to think there's something there. So I'd like to smell really nice and dress to impress. And we'll see if something happens, if anything.

The trip is to the northern forests of Canada, so a scent that works well in such an environment would be good. There will be plenty of pine and cedar.

What do you girls recommend? Can spend up to $250, would prefer to spend less than $150.

Used scope recommendations for a tissue engineering startup

Heya! I'm founding a small biotech startup which is nearly fully funded, but we do have a limited budget, so I'm trying to keep the microscope costs low. It would be nice to not have to take my samples to a core facility every time though.

We do tissue engineering, so we need resolution down to single-digit microns or better. 3D would be ideal, but is not an absolute must. For an example, we might want to look at tissue slices for engineered cartilage, to assess whether the elastin fibers are organized correctly.

I know there are <$10K DIY setups, but if I can avoid that, I'd like to. Can I get a used inverted fluorescence scope for <$10K, or better yet, something with confocal capabilities? Spatial resolution doesn't have to be stellar, and temporal resolution doesn't matter for our purposes. Alternatively, if there are low-cost new options from smaller suppliers, please let me know – I could use some recommendations~

48A bra in Hamilton or GTA?

Hey! I'm 33 MtF and have the misfortune of being pretty flat-chested (which I'm super dysphoric about), and I also have a wide ribcage, so finding fitting bras is hard.

I would likely be a 46A or a 48A. Regular stores don't carry these sizes. Where can I buy (ideally padded pushup) bras in this size? I'm in Hamilton, but I drive, so anywhere in the GTA or Niagara area is fine by me.

Thanks to anyone who can help. 💜
