Maybe making this into a character of sorts idk was looking at foggy beaches photos so kinda inspired color palette .

I haven’t draw a wolf in years so this definitely brought me back to my childhood
I was definitely having fun with this
(Only thing wish it wasn’t that pixelated it’s not in the program 😭)

Anyway, this is my redesign of my a old wolf’s rain oc I had back in 2014

Old designs: a white wolf with red or purple eyes I don’t remember to well with a bunch of scars ( literally a copy of a canon character and just a classic spike necklace emo oc 💀😭😑)

New design: a timber wolf
with black patches one covering one side of his face and one on his back running down to his tail and red eyes long majestic fur on cheeks and tail ( so long it drags on the ground )

Idk this was a fun project I did for myself and I was happy with the results
Probably not pro but whatever.

I was messing around with procreate brushes and found out a nice method for rendering/drawing grass using the default brushes

The background gave me brain damage and took so damn long but I’m very happy with it I love the summer vibes it gives :)

Ok a few things
This is my older wolf’s rain oc with a new redesign.
Before he was a white wolf with red eyes and scars (real classic emo oc and literally a copy of one of the canon characters 💀😭)

Now his a grey timber wolf with black markings on his face and back running down to his tail ( later I will post a character ref if interested)

I honestly think he is his own thing now because he’s a bit out of place in the wolf’s rain wolf designs but my lil sister thinks it’s still good
Idk maybe it’s this next gen where the wolves are living in paradise type of thing 💀

Anyway, idk if I like this or I should add more like fish of more bubbles (honestly I think I did enough )

also I had this character since 2014 I never designed a human version of him because back then I didn’t know how to draw people
And now I can but I can’t think of a design all I could think long majestic hair son 💀😭 so if someone can think of something

Little about this character:
This is a old wolf’s rain I named koda

His old design was a white wolf with red eyes with a bunch of scars classic emo oc

now his kinda his own thing since his new design doesn’t fits the wolf’s rain universe wolf designs
I don’t think it does but my sister says it’s still good 💀 maybe it’s like after the anime where it’s new gen of wolves running wild in paradise idk

I like to think in his human form he just has really long hair so I think that’s the idea I’m mostly working with

Now I never had a human design because I made him back in 2014 I had no idea how to draw humans back but know that I know how to draw people I have no design idea what he would look like 💀

Anyway, just wanted to know if this looks good to others he’s off to the side because I wanted to draw a fish or something his looking at

questions:
- If I need to make changes to the water
- more or less bubbles I can’t decide -lighting I’m still messing with but I don’t know if I want it darker or lighter
This is the general look I want but if I need to make a few fixes to the character I would like to know that to I’m still pretty happy with this lol I do need to clean him up a bit

Also if anyone has ideas on how to make him Less pixelated that would help a lot
Idk what happened with the brush I used just decided to act like this 😭💀

So my background I worked on for so damn long I gave myself brain damage 💀 I tried using the default leaf and grass brushes on procreate and it looks weird and odd with my general style so I try something different

The background was a test (one that took so damn long before I was happy with it) mostly to see if it fits my already existing artstyle with my characters I drawn a raptor as a test subject maybe if I put my human oc zekyr it would look better idk I posted it on my instagram last night and this morning my fam is like

Them : “ it looks a cartoon”
Me :“Yeah that’s the point I was testing if the background style would fit my general artstyle “
Them: “yeah but the background looks like a painting nice and calming”
Me: “ but I just said I was seeing if it would look good with my artstyle “
Them: “ok but it looks better without the character”

Feeling like they didn’t even listen to me
So I just said ok delete the og post on insta and repost it without the character (I did forget to delete the layer of the shadow were the character stood but I honestly don’t care I did what they wanted and they didnt even interact with it after
This is why I don’t draw backgrounds
I’m so disappointed in myself i try drawing realistic for years and it never comes out right so I just stay
in my cartoon or mostly realistic/cartoony look which is constantly being called anime (I have people who draw anime say it’s not anime 💀 so idk what my artstyle is)

Maybe I should just …. Not I used to draw all the time in high school things happened and I stopped drawing all together for almost 6 years( im a full grown adult))
I recently started drawing again after my grandfather pasted
But it helps with me missing him a little
And I almost wish I never stopped
But Clearly I’m not supposed to be whatever this is it did feel good while it lasted so that’s something ….
