Advice for entering new office as an EO?

Hi all

been a CO with AGS for 2 years now.

I was successful with an internal EO competition this year. Got a call on friday asking if I wanted to stay where I am or there was a position in a different department. I love the place i'm in but I did know the EO position that was vacant in my department is a position I wouldn't like so I chose to move on.

Very excited about the new role and do know I will be in charge of a couple of CO's, however I've no management experience which makes me a little nervy.

Would love some insight from people who made a similar move!

Reference from Previous Employer?

i've been emailed vetting forms for the position of EO. However there's a spot for reference from previous employer.

I've been a CO now 4 years. I don't particularly have any contact with my previous employer and wouldn't even be sure any management there are still there as it was in hospitality.

It does say I can leave it blank, is it that important?,

Am I making this ice-cream up?

I swear it was my favourite as a kid, it was like a Cornetto but i'm sure it wasn't. It had blue packaging, was fairly big and a clear plastic dome on top and a flake/piece of chocolate sticking from the top.

closest i've found is the Cornetto king cone but it isn't that.

This could be a case of me misremembering and mixing two different ice creams up as one but just wanted to see if anyone else remembered it

My dad is a taxi driver, he wants me insured on his car so I can also use it, is this possible?

I was thinking obviously I'd have to take the roof sign off but I was thinking about the side door stickers.

Is it legal for me to drive the car?

Can't find an answer online

Call from a debt collection agency, 'ControlAccount', in regarding a FedEx Delivery

In January just gone I ordered a jacket online, unbeknownst it was being shipped from Pakistan. Anyways I remember getting a letter in the door saying I owed FedEx 28€ in customs charges and it genuinely slipped my mind and I forgot to pay it.

Fast forward to today, I get a call from ControlAccount, a UK based debt collections company, who are now telling me I owe them 73€ as they've added a 45€ "collections fee'.

Am I best off paying this? Will it effect my credit rating at all? Will they keep charging me more if I don't?

Any advice is appreciated

Is there any secret "Irish Mammy" remedies for Sinusitis?

thought i had a tooth ache for a few days, then the mucus and the horrible taste in my mouth started. I've been flattened overnight I've realised its a sinus infection, a pretty bad one at that too.

Ive tried the usual, steam, Saline rinse, painkillers

nothing is even soothing it so I'm all ears for anything you've discovered over the years.

Especially the taste I can't even eat anything

Best route for Rhinoplasty in Ireland?

M28 here, about 2 years ago I was jumped in town by a homeless fella and he broke my nose.

I let it heal up and thankfully have no septum/breathing issues

however, the way the bone healed left a pretty visible bump, i didn't really mind it at first and i'm not sure whether the fact I wear glasses is making it more prominent or whether i'm just becoming more insecure about it but I want it fixed.

Is any of this covered under Irish health care?

I'm assuming because its a cosmetic change going private will probably be my only option?

If so is there anyone who can share insight about clinics they've used? is it worth going abroad?

thank you
