Binder BoS Question

Hi, I've thought about what to use as BOS and I'm thinking a small binder is a great idea. A pretty one. However, the ones I see online seem to be for "budgeting" etc and they have all these pockets in the cover. Are these pockets helpful at all, or is there a binder that you'd recommend? I'd like one that's beautiful and leather (-looking, at least) and pretty. Thanks!

Legilemency/Occlumency conversation: is it posible?

We have no evidence of telepathic communications in the HP universe, but would it be possible between two people skilled in Occlumency and Legilimency? One thinks an idea while the other reads it; and then reverse. Is this possible? Thoughts?

Snape's amazing DADA knowledge

Everyone knows that Snape came to school with some knowledge of Dark Arts, mainly hexes, for an 11 year old.

We also know he got quite good at defensive magic because of James Potter's behavior towards him.

We know he got good at occlumency in order to spy on Voldemort.

Is it possible that he also developed even more extensive DADA to protect himself from the other Death Eaters? They are an incredibly violent and unstable group of people, and to be among them is dangerous.

The Mirror of Erised

Ron asks if the Mirror of Erised shows the future, but of course it only shows what you truly wish. However, for both Ron and Harry, they both got what they saw in the mirror by the end of the series.

Harry: A couple of times he got to see shadows of his parents, just as he saw in the mirror. He even spoke to them. He also got to meet their old friends, who told him about them. He finally went to see the house in Godric's Hollow and visit their graves in DH, and learned a bit of his family's history. He learned about his mother's friendship with Snape from his memories. Harry got as much of his parents as he could possibly get with them dead.

Ron:
-House Cup: they won that the first year.
-Quidditch cup: Gryffindor won the quidditch cup with Ron on the team.
-Quidditch captain: He wasn't team captain, but he was King!
-Head Boy: He didn't come back for Year 7, so he couldn't be Head Boy, but he WAS a prefect and from that position, could have been made Head Boy if he'd stuck around (and it wasn't the Carrows in charge and all that. But he was on track to be Head Boy under normal circumstances).

So to a degree, I think the mirror DID show not only what they most deeply desired, but what they were capable of and what could come to pass if they continued as they were going.

Love potions

I'm thinking about potion making and how it is a lot like a combination of chemistry and cooking. Oxytocin is the name of the hormone that makes you feel "love", and it is just a chemical compound. Could a love potion, for example, contain an oxytocin-mimicking compound derived from a natural source like a magical plant? Or does it necessarily act on the body magically rather than physically to qualify as a "potion" and not just a drug?

I know you would have to magically cause it to make you feel love towards a specific person, but other than that, some love potions could have a physical basis to them?

Unicorns could have existed long ago, but they don't show up in the fossil record because their horns are made of soft tissues that don't fossilize.

When Dumbledore dies, the spell he cast on Harry broke immediately.

When Voldemort died the first time, when Harry was a baby, his spells were NOT broken. The horcruxes were still in place; the diary enchantment still worked (the interactive part, as well as the horcrux); the DADA job could not be filled for more than a year; and probably more spells than that. Quite likely, the Dark Mark faded but was still visible, which was one of the things that led Snape to always wear long sleeves (plus I think his dungeons were cold).

When Voldemort "died" the first time, the Imperius curse was lifted off a lot of people, signifying that he was no longer *actively* casting magic. Because the Imperius curse is an ongoing spell - you don't just set it up and leave it in the same way as, say, a self-scrubbing dish sponge. When Harry does it, he has to really focus the whole time, and give every single order.
