Hostel Life at UET Taxila Explained

Hostel life at UET Taxila is a fun and unforgettable journey full of great memories and close friends. Living there means getting used to simple mess food, making midnight noodles, and drinking endless cups of hot tea at local canteens (Quetta cafe near gate 2) with your roommates. Most of the studying happens the night before exams, where everyone gathers in the smart student's room to learn the whole semester in just a few hours. The days are filled with rushing out of bed at 7:55 AM to make it to 8:00 AM classes, dealing with hot summers and cold winters, and sharing everything from clothes to phone chargers. Late nights are the best part, spent playing video games, laughing in the corridors, and talking about future dreams until morning. In the end, you leave the hostel not just as an engineer, but as a stronger, more independent person with friendships that last forever. I would suggest not to take part in any illegal activities. Drugs are strictly prohibited.

Earning ~€700/mo back home in Aerospace. Should I leave for a Master’s in Germany? Need advice on the industry reality.

Hi everyone,
I need some honest advice from people living in Germany or working in the German engineering industry. I completed my bachelor in 2024 and I am 23 yrs old now. Need serious long term advice. Pls 👀
My situation:
I currently live in Pakistan, working as a Propulsion Engineer in the aerospace sector.
My current salary is around €700/month (approx. 200,000 PKR).
I have been accepted into a Master's program in Germany (Mechanical/Fluids field) at university of Rostock.
My long-term goal is to work in the German aerospace sector after graduation.
My questions for you:

  1. Job Market: Is leaving a stable €700/month engineering job back home worth "starting from zero" in Germany right now?
  2. Language: I know German is important, but how critical is B2/C1 fluency specifically for aerospace engineering roles compared to general mechanical roles?
  3. I would really appreciate any insights on whether this move makes financial and career sense over a 5 to 10-year horizon.
  4. Thanks!

Got admitted in University of Rostock

Hey everyone, I’m an engineering graduate with a strong interest in aerospace and space systems (particularly fluid dynamics, propulsion feeds, and autonomous controls) looking into the M.Sc. in Sustainable Maritime Engineering at the University of Rostock . can current students or alumni share how flexible the tracks are, how demanding the core fluid mechanics/hydrodynamics modules get, whether hands-on lab access (like Fraunhofer IGP or research vessels) is realistic for M.Sc. students, and if finding local Werkstudent tech roles or industry thesis partnerships is feasible with A1/A2 German?

Admission Policy has been Changed

UET Taxila has introduced a new admission policy that allows students to apply side by side if they have not applied beforehand. For those who have already applied, they can check their login portal to see if they have been selected for a specific discipline, where they can then submit their fee to secure their seat. Meanwhile, students who did not get in or have not received any admission yet can still apply because T-CAT is still happening. T-CAT is an independent entry test conducted by UET Taxila itself for candidates who have not taken the ECAT. If you take the T-CAT and meet the required criteria, your selection status will likewise appear directly in your login portal. Unlike previous years, the university is no longer displaying public merit lists.

iPhone 12 Pro went completely haywire overnight: battery crashes, volume glitch, broken AirDrop, and white grid icons (of some apps) all at once. Anyone experienced this?

My iPhone 12 Pro (running iOS 26.5) suddenly started experiencing a massive multi-system software meltdown out of nowhere. No physical drops or hardware damage. Here is what's happening simultaneously:
Battery cliff: Drains normally to 50%, then plummets instantly (50% \rightarrow 40% \rightarrow 20%) or shuts down completely at 30%.
Volume drop: Audio randomly plunges to a faint whisper while media is playing, even though volume sliders are maxed out.
AirDrop failure: Stopped recognizing or connecting to nearby iPhones entirely.
White grid icons: Some app icons are stuck showing weird white/grey grid placeholders that won't go away by resizing.
Has anyone experienced this cascading software glitch before? How did you fix it?

What I perceive is that this is totally software issue not a hardware issue and all issues are interconnected. Please guide me through.
