I’m headed to Ace Hardware to pick up a box of 3M Scotch-Brite 7448 and 7447 pads. I have a couple of Raffles bracelets that need to be rebrushed and I’m wondering if anyone has any experience (positive or negative) DIY rebrushing.

I’m opting for hand-rebrushing to get a feel for it, but I do have both a rotary tool and a polisher with various buffing/polishing wheels.

Specifically, if you’ve done it - what are your thoughts and can you show before/ after results? If not, I’ll have results in the next couple of days.

I couldn’t have asked for a better final product. The attention to detail, parts sourcing (from literally all over the world) - I smile every time I look down. While I don’t like the term “grail” because it’s thrown around way too much - this is probably the first watch I can say isn’t ever going anywhere. If you’re in the market for a great build - and Clark is kind enough to agree and work with you on a piece - you won’t be disappointed.

What’s on the wrist this Father’s Day Weekend?

I’m using the picture for visibility.

But with Mark and JD being much more infrequent these days, I was wondering if anyone actually had a lead on getting correctly stamped/ signed bracelets? We’ve made incredible strides with cases, engraving and the like. It sure would be sweet to have stamped/ signed Italian bracelets without waiting the better part of a year (or more). (And better quality than a Raffles bracelet).

I recognize it’s an incredible long shot - but I thought I’d throw it out there and see what happens.

We’ve been members of the Aquarium for awhile now, and this happens to be one of our 7-year old’s favorite pictures (and thanks to her, my current phone wallpaper).

There’s something fun about walking through both aquarium buildings with kids - everything is always awe-inspiring (regardless of how many times we’ve seen it all before).

I never thought I’d post one of these “can’t decide” help requests, but here we are.

I keep going back and forth on these two watches. Money isn’t a tremendous concern, and while clearly dissimilar, each does fill a need/ want in my rotation.

I love the overall styling of the Bel Canto but also keep coming back to the Nomos-Glashuette Minimatik 39

Thoughts?

Almost one year into ownership with consistent wear. Truthfully, the watch is a few grams too heavy and a hair too thick, but I keep coming back to it - it definitely scratches an itch.

The new Hydroconquest definitely has some color shifts; I tried to post a handful to illustrate the changes.

I’m looking for ideas on a secondary strap (open to NATO, leather or rubber). I’m fairly open to different colors as well. Looking to see if anyone has any suggestions?
