so each day that our daughter is not at daycare i plan her day around some outdoors, kitchen playset / water fun, tot lot, trip to different places, playground, time with neighborhood kids, wagon trip to feed the kittens, etc.. the moment her mom watches her, its "whatever looks like a kids show on youtube" while she watches netflix on her phone.

same thing with gifts - i can't stand "sensory audio books - push button play sound" because books are supposed to invite creativity through words and pictures, not a sensory stimulation toy yet her and her sister buy "whatever looks cute and fun" for kids..

its been going on this way and its exhausting. im trying to create a whole day for her that is filled with things she's done, places she's been, activities, interactions with kids and other people, thinking about her whole day experience and her mom ... is just so incredibly detached. ive talked about it and she just gets defensive saying "then you should watch her more so i can watch my phone". its been almost two years of this and i just pray for her eyes to be opened.
