Been listening since 2003 & finally saw her last night!

it was so surreal finally seeing her in person. I LOVED Lizzie McGuire as a kid, and still own (and listen to) my original Metamorphosis cd and love so many of her other albums. I got to finally see her live last night with my long time best friend and the post-concert depression is REAL!! We truly did get to wake up on a Saturday night 🫶🏻 wish I could re-live it over and over!

Two things I am so grateful for today

I've been having a health issue going on recently and was gearing up to head to the ER tonight to get some help, but talked to my friend who is an ER nurse about it and she told me exactly what to do instead of going to the ER. I'm so grateful because I just recently paid off almost $2k in medical debt a few weeks ago, and was dreading having yet another bill.

Second, I am so grateful for my cat, and that he feels so safe with me all the time. At home, he is always next to me like he is a little shadow. Days I work from home, he sleeps on his bed next to my desk. When I am home, he stays within eyesight, sometimes following me around or watching me from the couch or kitchen table. When I sleep, he is next to me. I love it so much. And I know he feels safe, because even when there are storms outside, or fireworks, he is unaffected. Doesn't jump or wake up from them at all. He's just calm and thinks nothing of it. I love him so much 🥹

Still constipated!

Hi everyone! I made a post last week about constipation and insomnia.

Original post: https://www.reddit.com/r/PhentermineTopiramate/comments/1vcm35p/what_are_we_doing_about_the_insomnia_and/

last Tuesday, I decided I was stopping phentermine all together. The way it has fucked me up (constant dizziness, anxiety, constipation, insomnia, etc.) just was not worth it. I did drink magnesium citrate a couple weeks ago to help go and it helped a little bit. I have since tried Miralax 3x this week (it did nothing), and today finally bit the bullet and did an enema. It helped a little but I still feel like I should have way more come out (sorry this is gross! but I am desperate). I'm trying to avoid going to the hospital. I assume since I did have a bit come out that I do not have a blockage.

It's also only been 4 days since I stopped the phentermine so I'm sure this is probably normal but I was barely going even for the two weeks I was on it.

I do not have any pain or discomfort of any kind...just worry! Any help is appreciated!

WHAT are we doing about the insomnia and constipation?!

I'm dying over here! My sleep has been absolute shit for the past week, averaging about 4 hours per night and I wake up constantly, and it takes me hours to actually fall asleep once I'm in bed. Not even Benadryl or melatonin has helped. On top of that, the only time I've had a bowel movement is when I took a laxative almost a week ago. I've started added Benefiber to my coffee, and eating a probiotic yogrt in the morning but it doesn't seem like anything is helping. Please save me, I am begging 🥲

Grateful for learning how to be financially responsible

As of yesterday, I have paid off all of my debt minus my house and car. My car will be paid off in about 3 more years, if not a little sooner. I had a lot of medical debt racked up because where I live, it doesn't affect your credit score, so I had put it on the backburner for almost 2 years. The collections calls were annoying lol but I didn't feel ready to pay it all off yet.

I've got it all taken care of now. No medical debt, no credit card debt, no afterpay/klarna/affirm/etc. and it feels so good. I've also improved a lot overall on impulse spending. It helps that I have a few trips in the future I'm very excited about and would rather save money for those 😊

Couple next door to me were arguing so loud outside

All I could think was I am so happy that I will not have to deal with those kinds of emotions anymore, feeling them nor having them directed at me. I do not miss the stress, the tears, the anxiety, NONE of it. I sleep so peacefully every night and get to spend every single day exactly how I want to, with no one yelling at me. I am grateful.

Stop spending money on Brick

(Received mod approval to post) THIS IS NOT MY APPLICATION AND I AM IN NO WAY AFFILIATED WITH IT. I simply thought it would be helpful to share for anyone that doesn't know about it and has thought about investing in a Brick.

Everything is so damn expensive right now, and a Brick is not another money grab you need to get. Try the Foqos app instead. You can make ANY barcode, NFC tag, or QR code your 'brick', and it works all the same. The app is very user friendly, open source, 100% free and will ALWAYS be free, per the developer in a post from a year ago.

Grateful for my best friend

I got my best friend into running this year, and now we run together a couple times a week and we are training for a half marathon (her first one!). Yesterday we ran together and we usually don't stay together, but this time we did, and we chatted, vented, laughed, and just had such a great run together it went by so fast and we both felt like it was a much needed therapy session.

I'm so grateful to have such a wonderful best friend I love so dearly. We are 10 years in and have never had a fight, never been angry with one another, we are always honest with our feelings and care about one another so much. I waited a long time to meet a friend like her and I will cherish our friendship forever!

Grateful for my SNRI

Zoloft and Effexor, my beloveds! They both deserve a shout out in the world of gratefulness.

I had struggled with severe depression and anxiety for so many years, in which they both manifested as anger. I was angry all the time. Every single day. I was mean to my angel of a mother, I didn't take care of myself, and I had so many unhealthy habits.

it was a tropical vacation we had taken together in 2021 that was the catalyst to me finally accepting I needed some help when a depression episode overcame me and ruined our entire trip. My mom kindly suggested if I had ever thought about getting on medications, and that was that.

I started Zoloft and it changed my life, until it didn't. Fast forward to 2023, I donated a kidney to a family member, and fell full force back into a dark mental place. I was NOT doing that again, so met with my donation team, got with a psychiatrist, and 10 months of trial and error later, Effexor was what ended up working just as well as Zoloft.

I am grateful for modern medicine and how it can help improve my brain chemistry. I used to cry all the time from being so miserable and now sometimes I cry because I can't believe how happy I am and how much better I feel.

I told my mom I wonder if this is who I actually am, like if my brain chemicals were where they were supposed to be naturally, and she says "I think so, and it's been so wonderful meeting you."

Thank you for saving, changing, and improving my life, Z and E!! 💕

Grateful for where I live & that I can do it on my own

Currently a mid 30s woman, living in a home I bought by myself, pay all my bills alone, do everything on my own, and I LOVE it.

I go for a walk every day. I live within walking distance of a beautiful metro park, and also a library.

The metro park is along a gorgeous river, I can sit and watch the water for hours. I set up blankets on the grass and read books and listen to nature.

The library becomes my personal pit stop on my runs on hot days, I can refill my water bottle and use the restroom. Not to mention, I'm a big reader, and can walk to the library whenever I want and get as many books as I want.

I love living near the downtown area of my city, where I can walk to, and support so many cool small businesses.

Sometimes I think I want to move, but then I get outside and see all the places my feet can carry me to within a radius of where I live, and I think, how could it ever be better than this?

So very proud of this

I have a workout schedule I follow, and Sunday’s are my easy walk days. I’ll walk for however long I feel just at a strolling pace and just let myself enjoy the time outside.

I was so invested in the book I was listening to (I only let myself listen if I’m walking, helps motivate me) that I just kept going and going and going! This is the highest step count from just a walk I’ve had in a while! And I slept so good after this, and feel great today. 🩷

Phentermine before/after photos, or progress pics?

Hi everyone, I just started Phentermine this morning. I'm on 37.5mg total, but starting off with half pills for the first 6 days. I have never tried a weight loss pill before. Does anyone have any before/after pics from when they were on it? Or if still on it, showing any progress pics? I am looking forward to how much this will help me! I am a runner and fairly active, but also am a kidney donor which makes losing weight fairly difficult, somehow (no idea, my donation team just told me they see it frequently). thank you :)
