Help with Pinging Accuracy

I’m on PC and about to subject myself to a session of playing in order to take this season semi seriously and rank up. My question is how do you make your pings more accurate? For example in one quick play match there was a very obvious BP starting to set up. I managed to shoot him out of position but wanted to ping the area for my team. Instead I ended up pinging all my custom pings until the game locked me out of pinging. This has happened several times and it’s pretty frustrating - I thought the ping sensitivity option would help but not as much as I was hoping to without destroying my ability to custom ping ina timely manner.

Any tips? It may or may not be of importance to bring up that my mouse is able to scroll up or down by tilting the middle mouse button left or right.

Rough out here for a Tiger Division Agent

I think the best point made is that in order for White Fox to gain her antidive identity back, beyond the neutral buffs we want she’d need to be the antidive menace equivalent of Black Cat in order for there to be a reason to pick her over a Luna/CnD/Gambit. I think the majority of us would prefer to mechanically fend off dive without being giga broken but that’s kind of what we’re left with if we want Ami to be fun and effective again.

Somewhat of an Explanation from the Devs

Take from it what you will, this is what a content creator who spoke to the devs heard from them regarding the reason for the peni nerfs. Starts at 14 minutes, just a few sentences in.

TLDW: The Devs felt that with the introduction of The Hood, Peni's snare would have shut down his Fade/Dive to the backline. Personally I'm fine with The Hood having a peel counter but there's the devs for you.

Considering picking up Ultron, tips pls

White Fox/Stratpool main here, going into S9 with all the insane teamups I was thinking it might be worth considering Ultron with the peni teamup if I'm getting 2+ dove on the ground. I only have practice range experience with him, but can someone list some of the things I should be aware of playing the character, like counters or tech? Much appreciated

The ULTIMATE Tracking Guide In Marvel Rivals - Emiliath

Just saw this was uploaded by an eternity peak support player and streamer and thought I'd share, especially since a lot of White Fox's value comes from ult cancelling and knowing when it's safe to use your ult.

Positioning as stratpool?

Recently picked up stratpool and by the end of the week I'll have Lorded him via playing QP. I do get high healing numbers most games but I've also noticed myself dying a lot with my ult (almost) ready. Positioning wise where as with other characters I'd play cover more, with Stratpool I try to min max DPIYA by standing near my tanks when they're both low + in order to supplement their healing when the icon throw is on cooldown. Losing my ult on death is extremely frustrating, how do you stratpool players position better to both min max your heals and increase your overall uptime?

White Fox Vs Cyclops - Current Findings (growing post)

Hello fellow operatives,

I posted yesterday about testing WF vs Cyclops ult to see what we're able to do. Thanks to u/iiiiinnavoig_ we were able to confirm a few things.

  1. You can indeed time your fox ult to i-frame the second blast, just like you can with a Dr. Strange Ult.
  2. If you're in ult form already when cyclops ults, your chances of escaping are low. Even if you try to escape the range, your hitbox is so big it makes eating it a lot more likely.
    - In the above case you're forced to be a bit more aggressive to lifesteal from enemies so you can maintain your ult for longer.
  3. You can use your TP to save someone from the second blast, as the shield does seem to have a "floor" to it to protect you underneath.

Still unknown to me is whether Fox charm invulnerability can be reliably used to save your teammates. In theory yes, but timing this would be the question. This would require a total of 3 people (WF, Cyclops, and a random teammate) to confirm this in a custom game scenario rather than the practice range. If you have anything else you'd like to test or would like to help us confirm this last question, comment below!

Strategist Considering Stratpool - Got some questions

Hello all,

Strat main here (WF mostly) who picked the game up in 7.5. I picked up WF for the more engaging parts of her kit, and now that I've champed her I'm looking to main another flexible support. This brings me to Stratpool. I've seen a few vids on him and he looks very fun to play. So I think I'll pick him up this season!

My questions are the following:

  1. How is he performing in the current Poke/Cyclops meta? Do you find it easier or harder to keep your teammates up as you upgrade?
  2. What are you doing to counter Cyclop's ult? As WF I can teleport to an ally after the initial blast to save them with my shield. Not sure what the move would be as stratpool other than maybe judging Cyclops early and often with pwnage pound
  3. What upgrade path do you like to choose depending on different situations and why?
  4. Do you find teams are more aware of how he works or do you have to comms to explain how before the match starts?

EDIT: Thanks for all the responses! Getting the flow of things and having fun trolling enemies (especially spidey and divers) with upgraded pwnage pound while holding it down with DPIYA!

Cyclops Ult Testing - request for assistants

So, with Cyclops and his busted ult out, personally I'd prefer to add him to permaban jail. In the event he does make it through the ban phase or it's just quickplay, I have a few theories.

  1. A well timed fox charm can save a teammate from the second blast
  2. Counter ulting on top of the second blast can save both yourself and your teammates

Unless you're able to assign teams in the practice range, this'll require a custom match + discord call to communicate between teams. Once I have at least 2 people, we can test it out and post the results here under a different thread. If you have Other ideas of things to test, please suggest as well, I want as much info as we can about White Fox vs Cyclops, and determine how to maneuver in the new meta.

If you're interested, please message my in-game name Flamebruddah

Theorycrafting: Positioning in the age of Cyclops

So I was just watching a few creator streams where Cyclops was being played and noticed that Cyclops can both put a lot of pressure on supports while frontlining without aiming at them with his connect-the-dots beam, AND that he has incredible peel potential for multidive due to the same beam and his mobility. While his primary damage is only really bad if he gets head shots, choke points are a death trap if he has ult. In neutral his beam + burst is also incredibly lethal. While I do think his damage is outhealable, it'll definitely strain our resources because if our team gets hit too often everyone will be half before you know it.

Question is, because our effective range is 30-35m and cover is now less reliable for us, what do you think positioning will look like? Stay too close together and we'll be farmed for ult charge like loki clones to a moon knight. Stay too far away and our ability to heal and pattycake with our other support becomes more strained.

What're your thoughts as of right now?

Dealing with a good Venom and Cap

When it comes to Dive tanks, Venom probably gives me the most trouble. If these are average players, then the claws come out and I can at least get him to pop his overshield. However the higher elo I go the more intelligent these players are, by baiting my fox form on a fake engagement, , leaving, then coming back to take me out while I'm still on cooldown. What've your strategies been to deal with these menaces? If he attacks the team, do you just ping and hope it turns into a 1v6 and we can take him out?

Same thing applies to Cap I suppose, especially when he's stalling on convoy.

Matches with Peni Parker

As a white fox player, is there anything you've found to be able to do in cases where there're spider mines all over the place? I've had a few matches in quick play with halfway decent Peni Parkers and I've found:

  1. My Teleport options are severely limited as I'll telefrag anyone in the frontline
  2. Even if I find the nest, my projectiles can't damage it in a reasonable amount of time
  3. My ult is effectively locked down until the nest disappears.

My only possible recourse is probably to swap to ultron long enough to destroy the nest then look to switch back but I just thought of that now

Question for you Dino mains from a strategist

I've been doing quickplay the last few days since the season started. The first 2 days of Season 8 I've gotten straight dino mirror matches which is to be expected. As a White Fox main I very quickly deduced the most optimal ways to fight with and against a DD, had some great plays comboing ults and have managed to adjust my playstyle expecting this season to be DvD or bust mirror matches.

The next 2 days however I've seen more people on my team completely disregard counters for DvD and just play whatever they feel like at the moment, which 9/10 times ended horrendously (the 1 time it was fine I was solo healing 5 dps/dive heroes but apparently they were all plat or higher meanwhile the opposite team was mostly new players). This had me wondering: Have you run into any teams not using the "meta" heroes to enable DvD and has that ever panned out for them?

If not, at least the next time it happens while I'll try my best I won't get too attached to the result
