Acupuncture recommendations
Does anyone have any recommendations for a good acupuncturist, please? (Can be Barnsley and surrounding areas too). Specifically for back pain. Thanks

We have a five-year-old cockapoo and a seven-month-old. They have been amazing together, and Orla has slotted into our family perfectly.
She’s always been confident, but she’s a loving, very clever pup. Right from the beginning, we took her older sister out with us to most places, especially at the beginning to get her used to people, dogs, etc, so she’s a dream. We thought that we would do the same with Orla while she’s little to hopefully get her to a similar point, so they could both come out and know how to stay calm, etc.
We took them to a pub garden yesterday to wind down after work. There were people around us, Orla didn’t make a sound, she was fine. Then, a couple appeared and walked to one of the tables in front of us, and she stared them down. She then started to bark, but not a playful bark, a protective one. Neither of us have ever heard her sound like that before, so it took us by surprise.
I tried to calm her down and to take her attention away from the situation, but she wouldn’t listen. To avoid further frustration and upset, we decided it was maybe best to remove her from that situation, and we left.
Has anyone had similar? We’ve never had this with our older dog, or any dog before, so I just wondered if there was any advice when it comes to breaking their focus in times like this.
My company has announced that they are giving all UK employees the ability to get a new car through leasing with Octopus Energy.
I was intrigued, so I looked at the deals you could get, and to be fair to them they’re brilliant. So much cheaper than buying the car independently.
I just wondered what the pros and cons are when it comes to getting a car through work, as I’ve never done it before.
What happens if you decide to change jobs in the future and you leave?
Would love to hear some experiences!
I was speaking to a colleague at work who was diagnosed in the past year, and she went down an alternative route to get diagnosed. It wasn’t private, but it wasn’t through the NHS either due to the long waiting list.
I have spoken to my doctor about my symptoms and struggles multiple times, and while they’re quite confident about the result, I’ve been told that the waiting list is at least four years long to be able to speak to someone.
I’m noticing that it’s impacting my work day to day though, which is causing me even more anxiety and stress, so I feel like I need to act sooner rather than later to see if I can figure some of this stuff out.
I just wondered if there were any other avenues to try instead? I’d really appreciate the advice :) thanks
I'm looking for some peaceful things to do in my spare time and after work. We moved house a year ago and have recently turned our attention to the garden, but quickly realised that between us we don't really have a good understanding of caring for and growing plants, trees, etc.
I know this is super popular with a lot of people, and some are incredible at it. I just wondered if anyone has any guidance on where to start? I've been trying to read, but when you're at the very beginning it can feel like a huge hill to climb. Just wondered if there are any good threads or accounts to follow, books to read, etc... Thanks!
My partner and I have made the difficult decision after many years of trying and sacrificing ourselves, to go no contact with both sides of the family. I had my reasons, and he had his, but either way it’s resulted in the same thing.
You absolutely cannot sacrifice yourself when it comes to certain relationships, but nothing prepares you for that pure silence that comes afterwards. No one nagging you, disrespecting you, trying to get under your skin. But you also realise how much of your life it took up, and without it you need to begin to rebuild.
Has anyone been through similar?
How did you feel afterwards? Do you still feel happy about the decision you both made?
What does your life look like now?
It's a really humbling feeling when you realise the world is literally your oyster and anything is possible. You’re not tied to anything, you can move anywhere… it's a mixture of exciting and incredible, but also a bit overwhelming.
My period has always been quite predictable and then I went onto the depo injections for 7-8 years. Period stopped altogether during that time. In the past couple of months I’ve decided to switch to the mini pill. I take it at the same time daily and it seemed to be going okay. I had my first period after the injection, which was fine. Fast forward a month and I’ve had a period recently that lasted three weeks. It finally stopped for a few days, but now the spotting has returned.
Has anyone known this to happen? Does anyone not recommend the mini pill? I’m starting to wonder whether I should switch, but no idea what to switch to.
Over the years, through different platforms like Etsy, etc I’ve made a steady stream of ‘extra’ income each month. Nothing crazy, but just being able to use my creativity in different ways other than my day job felt pretty good!
Unfortunately, Etsy doesn’t seem that great anymore. Too many charges, etc to make it worthwhile - especially if you’re only selling smaller things like greeting cards.
I wondered if anyone had any new suggestions to scratch this itch? :) would love to hear!
