My knees hurt

This old fella is going to carry me through to 42.2

Do people seriously run with their phones for a whole marathon?

I caught a chesty cold during taper

This is a thing right? I should be better by race day - Sydney Marathong - but it's going to be a very, very light taper.

So frustrating. I feel like my lovely, ropey leg muscles are turning to jelly before my eyes (it has been 5 days since a last ran lol).

Thoughts and prayers while a sleep as much as possible and not go crazy.

Shower

I'm fly out at about dinner time on the 30th - idealllllllly I would have a shower before getting on the plane (thoughts & prayers for fellow passengers).

Any tips or ideas on how/where to do that?

Help, I signed up for two marathons 6 weeks apart

As titled. About me:

I ran a 4:35 marathon last year and one in 2019 4:52. I got ambitious and cocky and signed up for the ballot on two flagship marathons.

Against the odds, I got picked for both.

Took the holidays period off running totally, but am now back into it and am ticking along nicely on an 18week HH Novice 2 plan hoping to get closer to 4:20 this year.

I think I'm all set training for the August marathon. But how do I best use the 6 weeks between to both recover and prepare for the October marathon?

Male, late 30s, dad-jogger (far from athlete level).
