Live sports, choose from 2-4 camera angles: how to setup OBS

I'm streaming roller derby to YouTube. I have anywhere between 1-4 camera angles and operators and I'd like to be able to choose from which ever camera angle is the best at the moment.

Also it would be cool to be able to throw up some other generated stat pages in a web browser.

What's gotten me close to this is Studio Mode where the live stream is on the right. Then on left I create a scene with 1/4 sized camera angles. But: I haven't been able to get the layout of those 1/4 sized layers to work right. They keep getting all wonky and un-selectable or gone or buried.

process for setting a backup location, merging existing files. I keep missing the target!

I'm trying to setup a backup for my mom's files on my self-hosted Seafile13 docker. I'll install SeaDrive, and manage to get the target juuuust a little wrong, and end up creating an entire duplicate folder structure in an oddball subfolder I didn't mean to to.

Any pointers on choosing the target correctly so her existing files will get merged with the seafile (almost) identical files and tree?

OBSBOT Tiny 2 Lite does not work with Zowietek 4K HDMI NDI Video Encoder/Decoder

Just a PSA: I wrestled with this for an hour or so and got close, but no cigar.

When using the Zowietek 4K HDMI NDI Video Encoder/Decoder, you have to put it into Decoder mode so the USB connected OBSBOT camera will come up. You can see the video and control the pan-tilt-zoom: really cool! But in Decoder mode, the Zowietek will not send that video out via the ethernet 😞

https://zowietek.com/product/4k-video-streaming-encoder-decoder/

The OBSBOT Tail Air has HDMI out it's $700.

You can get a UVC to HDMI Converter no-name brand off amazon for $100, or an OBSBOT brand for $170

My next trick will be making a raspberrypi take the place of the Zowietek NDI. Should work... USB video in, capture that in the rpi, then send that out via the HDMI. Easy!

organize volunteers for scrimmages and bouts?

How do you keep track of volunteers, filling spots, and make sure nothing is missed for event production?

Phosphorescence off Alki

This is "night sight" and in my opinion is bumped up juuuuust a little from what it actually looked like - it was cool looking!

The tug propellers are about 6ft in diameter and at their lowest around 15ft underwater. Wo that's the churn you're seeing.

This level was definitely highest right here off Alki Pt and diminished the further south I went.

These are my wife's favorite boots and the best gift I ever got her. They recently finally gave up the ghost after two resoles and many fixes (the boots, not the wife). I'd like to get her another pair, maybe a little nicer (<$500) but still of a similar style. Georgia mid-calf.

Any recommendations to look at? Thanks!

I get this error: "no video with supported format and MIME type found"

There are a few other posts with things about it below, I didn't make any progress with those powershell commands. Then when it was "manually downloading and installing" I felt like it was too far down the rabbit hole.

Maybe there's a server setting to NOT encode videos with that specific codec that firefox has such a hard time with?

The boot itself rubbed through the outer soft shell of the lace. It shredded - I could still tie it but one side was small while the other wise still had its sheathing on it. Kinda sucked.

What a good opportunity for new laces!

This place is SO COOL. They're located inside the City Museum in St Louis. Amazing place if you haven't been there before. They have a super old shoelace machine that's still working and they make and sell shoelaces there.

I've purchased from them before, they'll ship them no problem. These boots need a 36in lace. I chose the Round Autumn Shoelaces - Sorrel, Copper and Toast for $6.50 + $5 shipping. I think they won't look like much on first blush, but with a closer peek they'll be special.

I've had a pair of orange laces on my running shoes for years and never a hiccup. Here's a video

I figure folks that appreciate Birks will you also appreciate show laces! Made in USA
