Anyone need a miracle to Greensky Bluegrass in Portland tonight?

I'll be attending this show but my wife won't be able to make it due to a last minute family issue. If anyone's interested in the ticket comment below with your favorite Grateful Dead cover that the band does.

Edit: Portland in Oregon

Edit 2: They have been given away.

Mets vs Yankees Watch Party Sunday

I am a New York Mets fan in Salem, OR. Started a group to watch the game together on a monthly basis a few years back. We are a diverse group of New York Mets fans from across the Willamette Valley! We'll be gathering Sunday to see the Mets in the rubber game of the Subway Series against the Yankees at Half Court Sports Bar and Taproom on Center Street in Salem. Join us for brunch and baseball! We're a friendly group. First pitch is 10:40 am.

I'm working to organize the second annual Highland Make Music Day at f/Stop Fitzgerald! I've secured the venue as well as free sound equipment but need someone who has knowledge on operating the sound equipment to help day of. This would be in the afternoon of Make Music Day (6/21) starting likely at 3:00/3:30 and going to about 9:00 or 10:00. We can provide you with free libations and food. We would need you to be 21 years of age or older though since the venue doesn't allow minors on the premises. If anyone is interested please shoot me a DM!

Hey folks! Salem Soup Squad could really use some help this coming Saturday from 2–4pm. We serve free meals to our unhoused neighbors, no strings attached. We’re out there every Saturday at Marion Square Park and every other Monday at Wallace Marine Park, just trying to make sure people have something to eat.

We’re a small group doing this in our spare time, so we rely a lot on the community showing up however they can.

If you’re someone who likes to cook, bringing a dish is a huge help. It doesn't need to be soup! Mac and cheese, pasta salad, sandwiches, and hot dogs are some of the stuff folks have cooked We usually say around 20 servings just so there’s enough to go around. If cooking that much isn’t doable, there are a bunch of other ways to pitch in. Some folks send pizzas or other takeout (honestly 3–4 pizzas can go a long way), and you can have it delivered right to the park. For Saturday that’s Marion Square Park (551 Commercial St NE), and on Mondays we’re at Wallace Marine. If you do delivery, just note to look for the tables with the red checkered tablecloth.

Even small things help — dropping off a case of water, for example, makes a bigger difference than you’d think.

And if you want to be involved but not cook at all, you can always come help serve. You just need a food handler’s card, which is quick and easy to get online.
