Price Check - Late 2017 PC with 1700x and 1080ti

Options - upgrade to 5800x3d and 9070xt and keep AM4. Or if it needs a motherboard upgrade too, then might consider AM5. Whatever the upgrade it, need it to last 5-6 years for 1440p gaming.

Kindly let me know at what prices can below PC/components be sold today. No warranty. Mumbai.

  • Ryzen 7 1700x
  • MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon
  • MSI 1080ti
  • GSkill TridentZ RGB 32GB (2x16) DDR4 3200 CL16
  • 2x1tb WD Black NVMe Gen3 SSD
  • 1tb WD Blue sata 2.5" SSD
  • 2tb Seagate Hard Drive
  • Cooler Master Hyper 212 cooler
  • Cooler Master Mastercase 5t
  • 850W PSU

Can I use the NVMe SSDs in the new build or upgrade to Gen4 for better gaming performance. I assume only load times will be slightly better, FPS won't be impacted.

Thanks.

Capacitor issue in V12, resolved?

Just got a V12 slim (Jun 2026) and the package said it was imported in Nov 2024! Was looking for posts about battery and came about this prevalent capacitor issue.

Do you think it was resolved in later batches and my almost 2 years old product may give me problems later? I have a 2Y warranty, thinking of using it way more often than usual so that hopefully the issue occurs within the warranty period!

Reliable package consolidators in USA

Hi, will be buying quite a few items. I have a provider who ships from US to India but he charges per box, and min 1kg. I want to consolidate multiple packages in one box and ship it to an address in US. So basically, US to US.

I understand myUS hasn’t been reliable but I am assuming for domestic shipping, there aren’t many ways they can screw me over? Correct me if I am wrong.

Any other cheaper or more reliable options who can ship within US after consolidating my packages.

Thanks.
