A key to the Firestorm requires 5 melee attacks against Recruits. The Manifest store is full of good deals. I’m fully onboard with Ordinance Heist

The Manifest trade store is full of goodies, and the key templates are easy. Everyone who is tripping is either disingenuous or doesn’t like fun!

Does our “conscience” that inhabits the shell have a name?

Are we ghosts? Any lore on this? I would kind of like to be ghosts.

Stall teams are the most satisfying to defeat but the absolute worst to play against.

I know they get fun out of winning, but to me it’s the most stale boring passive gameplay you could do, and isn’t an expression of skill at all.

HAPPY BUNGIE DAY

Love the world you have created, love being able to collect skins in it. Thank you Runners for making the world come alive. Thank you Bungie for making it. See you all on Tau Ceti

Relax and let them do their thing

Bug here bug whatever. It’s a great game. Bungie just took a huge hit. Give them time to iron things out

Edit, you know it’s obvious it’s a lot of salty Destiny fans in here. What’s amusing to me is the same people you are demanding D3 from are the same people whose work you hate? You can’t even make up your mind! I have the Old Light emblem too, and I can accept that Destiny is not what they are developing. We still have it and it’s in great shape, you should show some BASIC human empathy to the people who made the game you love after their management self destructed the company, and they were still able to deliver Marathon.

Solo Outpost guide to Pinwheel Base

Hello, this is my Runner’s Guide to Outpost after a successful season 1 and adaptation to season 2. This is all my own opinion but I hope it can be of use.

To win Outpost you need to be able to efficiently collect keys and hit the Destroyed Wing buttons, in that order, to enable yourself to open the Master Key room.

Your immediate priority is the keys, as fast as you can. Your second priority is destroying 5 glowing red boxes to open the Destroyed Wing. The third priority is the Master Key room and the last priority is a successful exfil. The Dormitories rooftop key and the Processing key are absolute death traps, these require care. The walkway key is almost always available unless someone spawns nearby and is also collecting keys. Flight Control key is usually open because of how revealing it is to the Runner, and Flight Control proper is usually a pvp hot spot but I consider this an easy key to get, just be fast. You can see the key locations from far away, so you can tell if someone else has already hacked the key tower if it’s open or you see the red light, saving you time to collect the keys. You want to collect keys as quickly as possible because it will save you time as you look for the buttons, which can sometimes take a lot of time. Ultimately you will develop your own route to quickly scan for them and can accomplish multiple tasks at once. Ideally, you have 3 or 4 keys before the 20 minute mark and have opened Destroyed Wing. If you can’t find all of the buttons or keys before 10 minutes, I would consider to exfil.

The boxes have a glowing red square inside them and make a humming sound when you are near one, there are over 40 possible spawn locations. Sometimes there can be two in close proximity, so pay attention before you continue on your route. The ones I try to scan for first are the ones on the highway floor, below Orientation/Orientation outside lot. The back of the lot behind Orientation has a tricky spawn appearing behind the fence of the guard shack. You can scan for boxes as you collect keys depending on where you spawn. The boxes have a set spawn boundary which is the Orientation POI but it can go as far as both “gates” going towards the mountains on the map, you just have to learn this by finding them or watching a video. When it rains hot, go inside to look for buttons in Orientation or rotate along the base of the tower, there is cover to move and you can go to your next key. Very few people go outside in the hot rain, but if you pop a shield AFTER the rain hits, you will be able to buy yourself time and only suffer the overheat. I usually go out in the hot rain to get the walkway key. It is absolutely worth it to search medboxes and carry depleted shield stacks to be able to walk out in the hot rain when it is advantageous. The entrance to Destroyed Wing is a common hiding spot from the hot rain so expect people to be there and stop looking and listen.

Inside Pinwheel, immediately turn off the alarm, which is the blue button on the left side of the 2nd floor control console, overlooking Command Wing, so no adds continue to spawn. The button is right next to one of three Turrets that should be the next add priority. Most players who know what they are doing will rush to turn the alarm off, so sometimes you can tell if you have company by whether or not the alarm is still active, or hearing it deactivate. There is a Strongbox at the end of each wing, with Arms lockers along the way, as well as an exit. Command Wing can only be opened by first pressing a blue button in the back of each Wing (far back left for Drone Wing, bottom back right for Destroyed Wing). I don’t recommend opening Command Wing because it resets the alarm and the lockbox isn’t worth opening over the Master Key room. Opening the Master Key room will bring the total number of Commanders in Pinwheel base to 4, with at least 2 groups of basic UESC depending on if you turned off the alarm. Assassin and Destroyer are the best shells in my opinion for their evasive ability and damage potential. I like to kill everything and loot in peace, but if you are pressed for time you can pop smokes and loot. There are two strong boxes but the counter top of the long table frequently has purple and gold salvage/valuables. The Most Valuable Valuable is always on the small table in the back.

You can exit from the Elevator in Drone Wing by pressing the blue button on the furthest back wall, first floor. You can also wait in the end of Destroyed Wing for the final exfil, it is usually easy to get to just jumping down from there. Assassins have a really easy time leaving with Guarded Exfil, because they can just go invis so consider that. The final Exfil is usually empty in my experience, but I like to have the 4th key and leave from Pinwheel Base. The interior exfil usually spawns if you have at least 1 key, from what I’ve observed. It gives you plenty of time to address the UESC, other Runners, and your loot, you can challenge yourself with 4 key runs.

Sometimes other Runners will do your work for you. It’s nice to collect keys off a corpse, and you can tell if someone else is destroying boxes by looking at the bar above the 2nd story entrance to Destroyed Wing. If you notice them working for you, or someone else is opening Pinwheel with green keys, keep track of this and use this information to make your run easier. You don’t need to shoot boxes if someone else opened Pinwheel. You don’t need to loot keys if you collect them off a corpse. Do your best and don’t become one, you will learn you own method for all of these things with repetition.

Stop sometimes and enjoy the ambience, Outpost is a perfect map to deliver a break-in experience unlike any other, it’s where I spend 90% of my time. Good luck!

Finished up the priority contracts and loved Mida and Traxus final missions. The Pinwheel and Outpost as a whole are woven together so well, truly the extraction horror is found here. Iconic location and insane atmosphere.

I know we aren’t getting a new map soon besides Night Marsh, but I would really love for the next map to be a rocky/open terrain by the water. There was also concept art or an Oasis-Resort style location that I could see fitting there. Any ideas? What would you want to see in a new map?

Been playing Marathon with hud off for everything except priority contracts and it’s just a cinematic masterpiece. Really hope this game and community grow into the scope it deserves.
