“What if I find art tedious?” THEN MAYBE YOU DONT LIKE MAKING ART??

Don’t know why it was on my feed but found this in r/defendingAiart I swear these people don’t seem capable of understanding that the art IS the process, it’s not about trying to find the quickest shortcut to completion. Make art if you enjoy it, or dont. But you dont get to call yourself an artist if you dont enjoy the PROCESS of making art.

1 year later my human-only art platform now has 2,701 doodles from 702 people!

Exactly 1 year after writing my first line of code on August 17th 2025, my little drawing platform now has thousands of doodles from artists all over the world, and exactly 0.00% AI. I started this passion project last year for a hackathon, after seeing so many of my artist friends having their hard work buried by AI slop, and even being falsely accused of using AI, I just wanted a place to enjoy human made art without wondering what's AI. So I made a platform with no file uploads, everything is hand drawn in the app, so you can relax and enjoy art the way we used to. It's 100% free of AI, algorithms, and ads, and relies on voluntary support from our incredible community earthboard.art ❤️

Your AI slop bores me (lets make crappy doodles instead)

I only recently discovered this sub, but I figured you guys would appreciate this.
Last year in august in the wake of the wave of AI slop suddenly taking over social media and all the problems it was causing my artist friends, I started working on a passion project that combined 2 big ideas I had to help make sharing art online fun again.

  1. A bulletproof method to prevent AI: there are no file uploads, only drawings made in app can be posted, so you don't have to constantly wonder if what you're seeing is AI, or be falsely accused of using AI.
  2. An earth-sized collaborative mural, where your art can be discovered organically, without algorithms that force you to compete for visibility with paid ads or AI slop.

It's taken a lot longer than I expected to get all the pieces working on multiple platforms, but now Im starting to see a small but lively community of people enjoying it and wanted to share it with you guys. Even if you don't consider yourself an artist, its a lot of fun just guessing what other people have drawn, or doodling next to your friends and seeing the world evolve.
I have lots of ambitious plans for the future like giving artists ways to monetize their art with licensing and patreon-like subs for fans, so I'd love to hear any feedback or ideas you guys have! 🙏

How it started vs How it's going (8 months of progress)

What started as an overly ambitious (and half baked lol) concept for an earth-sized collaborative mural drawing game for a game jam last year, quickly became my full-time obsession. My main goal was to create a fun place where people can go to escape the endless AI slop and algorithms, and just draw fun doodles together.

I still have ambitious plans for where it goes from here in terms of artist revenue sharing features, but this is the first iteration that feels like a complete game.

Now I’m finally starting to see a small but lively community of people drawing together all over the world daily, and it’s very wholesome to see.

Check it out or share with any artists you know, I’d really appreciate it! 🙏
