Taskmaster overlap (?)

For years (YEARS!) I have been telling my partner that the USA attempt at Taskmaster was a bust for many reasons. The main reason being the network issues that completely destroyed the taskmaster vibe.

Alex Horne has been involved with two Game Changer episodes and I am truly hopeful that Taskmaster makes an appearance on Dropout TV ❤️ dropout is a great platform and has the support (unless I’m wrong) to make this not only happen, but to do it justice ^fingers crossed! 🤞

12 y/o mini schnauzer having “accidents”

Sorry for the long post ahead of time:
My mini schnauzer, Chippy Dogg, is my soul dog. Backstory: he was diagnosed with anal sac adenocarcinoma (also known as apocrine gland anal sac adenocarcinoma or AGASACA); a highly malignant tumor which has metastasized. He had a clean removal about a year and a half ago, but it’s back. Last visit, a couple months ago, we knew it already spread to his lymph nodes and the tumor was partially visible on a chest X-ray near his liver. I honestly don’t know if I’m overthinking or I’m hyper aware of his timeline, but he sleeps more than I recall from even 6 months ago. He used to be perched at his duty station making sure no one dared enter the yard (or even possibly think of it). Today, in particular, he was barking/alerting at his spot, but nothing is outside. He used to jump at the chance to go outside, but lately there are times he isn’t interested. He is eating and drinking less than before, but he will eat/drink and enjoys his treats.
Over the past two weeks, he has peed in the house at least once a day. We have pads out, but he isn’t using them. He isn’t telling us he needs to go outside the way he always has, so we can’t always catch it in time. He will sit and star at us sometimes, but for 12+ years, when he’s done that, its us asking him to come up on the couch, him not coming up, and we would joke, “why are you being weird?” For example: today I was in my basement and he came down (the other dog isn’t allowed there because he sheds and I sew, but he also has 3 legs and doesn’t love long stairs). Acted like he usually does when I’m working and I look up; he peed. We don’t yell or reprimand him in any way; we put him right outside and tell him we love him. It’s not his fault,I’m just feeling lost.
I have spent years knowing Chippy like the back of my hand and he seems to keep drifting further from that. My other dog is a 5 y/o Husky/mini schnauzer (Tommy Boy) and he is a lovely menace! He has been laying in the same room as Chippy and not initiating play, and I know it’s because he knows; on any given day he would normally throw 5 temper tantrums to play or be active and lately he just lays nearby, calm). I know Chippy isn’t comfortable because he keeps his distance from me and after sleeping by my side for over 11 years, now prefers to be in the other room at night with his brother. However, I also don’t think he’s in pain. I KNOW I’ll know when it’s time, but I’m in this limbo right now.
Adding to all this: I pay over $400 a month for their pet insurance and I bring them to vet at the drop of a hat when something is up. My boys have great insurance so I can comfortably get them to the vet without worrying about money. It’s my understanding that he would need an ultrasound (which my vet doesn’t have the ability to give, so I need to get him to the hospital where he was diagnosed) to know what the tumor is doing internally. Like I said, I’m in limbo because he’s just off. I have always worried he would have dementia because I knew he would live longer. I’m just feeling lost… thank you for listening and any words of wisdom/experiences you can share, thank you tenfold ❤️ I know there’s probably no answer other than putting him through the stress of a vet visit. He could be experiencing cognitive decline in addition to his cancer. Enjoy some pictures of my beautiful baby boy (and his tripawd brother).

*edit for spelling/glaring mistypes

TL;DR not sure how worried I should be about behavior changes (seems to be barking at nothing randomly and has been peeing in the house) in my 12+ y/o mini schnauzer who has aggressive cancer. Did he just get old over night? Is he experiencing cognitive decline? What have your experiences been?

Ceramic coating advice

Hello! Thanks in advance! I have a car wash near my house but I’ve read if you get ceramic coating, that you shouldn’t go to the car wash. I have an Ice Cap colored ‘26 clean premium. Right now there’s nothing on it and I wasn’t going to get it done at the dealership and was planning on shopping around.
Any advice?

Joined the club!

After driving the ‘26 Prius for almost 6 months, I decided to trade her in for the ‘26 RAV4. I was able to drive over 800 miles in an LE a week ago and I picked up “Ice Bear” yesterday. I really have fun driving it and by comparison, so much better than the ‘26 Prius! I’m 6’1” and the Prius was so small. I have a 2010 Prius with almost 250k on it and I’m so glad I was able to get this!

Ya know what? Eff off!

I’m especially irked by this fridgegate stuff. In the past 72 hours, I had a friend pass away at the age of 31 (recently married, new job, bought a house, all the good things you wish for a young person), and another friend suffer a massive stroke, leaving them paralyzed on one side (and their livelihood is playing guitar/teaching guitar). It’s actually stomach churning to have her claim “near death” when NO! I dont give a f if you are an influencer or someone even remotely worth talking about- you did not “almost die” and have the ability to get out your phone to record yourself moaning and groaning. Get your priorities straight 🤬 sorry. Needed to vent somewhere

*edit : things come in 3s (so they say). A family friend (I’m 40 and their wife made my baby blanket, so there’s a long history) recently passed away on Sunday. Many bedding and positive vibes/prayers to everyone dealing with real life problems ❤️‍🩹

Happy 12th birthday Sir!

This is Chippy Dogg and he just turned 12! He has anal sac adenocarcinoma (also known as apocrine gland anal sac adenocarcinoma or AGASACA); a highly malignant tumor which has metastasized. I am prepared for this to be his last birthday with me and that’s ok, because he is my sweet angel baby boy. He had a clean removal last year, but it’s back and has already spread to his lymph nodes 💔 I have been beyond blessed to have found my soul dog and I can only hope he has enjoyed every moment with me half as much!
Happy birthday little piglet! I love you with all of my heart!

Hope I did well 🥶2026 XLE premium

I’m trading in my 2026 Prius with 5k miles for $26.5k and I reserved a 2026 XLE Premium AWD for almost $40k. I have a 2010 Prius and got the 2026 in December: hate it. Based on my research, I don’t think I could possibly find a better deal. I’m in CT so I need the AWD, love my dealership (my family as a whole has purchased at least 7 Toyotas in my life from them), and adore my dealer. I believe I got the best price, and I’m locked in on my trade in until the rav4 comes in, so I have time to save and put more down. The trade in value was the best I could find (taking taxes into account) and honestly, I’m genuinely excited for it! I dislike driving the new Prius, and the rav4 makes me smile 😊

Love my ‘10 Prius, but she’s got over 250k miles on her and I try to baby her in the hopes my 15 year old can utilize her in high school. My first car was a 1989 vw golf and he was ~14 when I drove him in high school, and I think my kid will benefit from driving an older car to start (humble him a bit!).

Yes, my cars have pronouns (not intentionally, but I’ve always given them names & they’ve had personalities). 1989 vw golf: Herman the German. 2010 Prius: queen Amidala. 2026 Prius: Carla. Soon to be 2026 RAV4: Ice Bear

TL;DR
Hoping I did decent on a reservation if a 26 rav4 for $40k

Dislike the 2026 Prius… advice?

Thank you in advance:
I have a 2010 Prius with 250k+ miles. I love it! I need my car for work and I was in a situation where I bought the 2026 Prius in December. I didn’t love it, I’ve tried to love it, and I honestly dislike driving it. It is small. I was in a position where I needed a new car fast, which is why I bought it.

I am contemplating getting the RAV4, trading in the ‘26 prius and calling it a day. Yes, the mileage is good, but I can’t comfortably fit my two dogs in the back seat with a person (but I can in my 2010!]. I also hate that I NEED to use all of the cameras and sensors. I can’t even change lanes if I didn’t have the sensors because there isn’t visibility.

Yes, I shouldn’t have jumped the purchase, but live and learn 🤷‍♀️. Is it foolish to trade it in for a rav4? I want a new one (I like being the original owner), and I want to enjoy the drive. I’m also 6’1” and the ‘26 Prius is just SO small!

TLDR:/ looking for advise on ditching the ‘26 Prius for a ‘26 rav4
