Jon Anderson daily — Saturday, October 10: a 2006 TV cameo
This one's Jon Anderson's April 2006 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, taped to promote his "Tour of the Universe" DVD. Kimmel never let him finish a song — you get fragments of "Roundabout", "State of Independence", "Owner of a Lonely Heart", and "Your Move/I've Seen All Good People" squeezed between commercials. Only about two and a half minutes, but it's a rare TV moment for him and worth a watch.
If the Tales lineup had stayed together…
Do you think Yes could’ve still had huge tours like Rush?
Jon Anderson daily — Friday, October 9: new fan footage from Cirkus, Stockholm
Stumbled across this gem from the Stockholm show last weekend — “Counties and Countries”, from True. well worth a watch.
Edit: Egregious error in original post. Thanks to the followers of this page.

https://themusicuniverse.com/jon-anderson-and-the-band-geeks-announce-final-2026-shows/
Stumbled across this — apparently the 2026 tour wraps up with three final shows: Poznan tonight, Zabrze on Saturday, then Paris on Oct 13.
Quite a way to close out the year. Anyone here catch the September UK shows? I'd love to hear your favorite moment from the run.
Jon Anderson daily — Wednesday, October 7: sold-out Gateshead and three shows to go
This one comes from Metal Express Radio, reviewing last Thursday's sold-out show at the Glasshouse in Gateshead — Close to the Edge to open, a shimmering 'Soon' to close the first half, and Awaken with Jon on mini harp in the second.

Worth a read heading into the tour's final week: Poznan tomorrow, then Zabrze, and it all wraps in Paris on the 13th.
Jon Anderson daily — Tuesday, October 6: a 1977 rarity
Stumbled across this gem — part 3 of Jon's interview with Lee Abrams for the Superstar Radio Network, recorded back in 1977 right in the Going for the One era. He's relaxed, chatty, and gives a real sense of where his head was at with Yes at their mid-70s peak. Lovely time capsule.
Jon Anderson daily — Monday, October 5: Awaken in Gateshead
Fan-shot clip of "Awaken" from the Glasshouse in Gateshead, October 1 — full prog-epic mode, Jon right in the middle of it at 81. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkkQXAXwyoQ The Band Geeks nail the long quiet passages and Jon floats over the top of them. This tour wraps the Sweden dates tonight, so this one feels like a good keepsake from the run.
Jon Anderson daily — Sunday, October 4: fresh fan footage from Stockholm
Stumbled across this fan-filmed clip of "And You and I" from last night's Cirkus Stockholm show (Oct 3):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXdkjaKvZG0
Jon at 82 still soaring over those harmonies, and the Band Geeks sound as tight as ever. What a night for the crowd in Stockholm.
Jon Anderson daily — Saturday, October 3: a Bruford reunion backstage in Brighton
Morning, everyone — one good one today.
Bill Bruford caught Jon and the Band Geeks in Brighton last month and shared a backstage photo — his verdict on the pipes: "Sang like a bird." Two Yes legends in one room, 50+ years on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l88kJCeuqYY
Worth a watch.
Jon Anderson daily — Friday, October 2: Glasgow gets 4 stars
Morning, everyone — one good one today.
The Glasgow Reporter gave Jon's Sept 28 Royal Concert Hall show 4 stars — said that approaching 82, he's still showing "remarkable vocal agility." Full Yes Epics set too: Close to the Edge, Awaken, Starship Trooper, Roundabout, plus three from True. https://theglasgowreporter.co.uk/2026/10/review-jon-anderson-and-the-band-geeks/
Worth a read over coffee.
Jon Anderson daily — Thursday, October 1: tour news + a 1976 rarity
Morning, everyone — here's today's roundup.
**News**
Jon played a sold-out Liverpool Philharmonic on Sept 22 and the reviews are glowing — XS ROCK said he's still got "vocal chords of pure velvet" at 81, opened with a 20-minute "Close to the Edge," and got a standing ovation after every song. https://xsrock.com/legendary-singer-jon-anderson-thrills-in-live-performance/
The YES Epics, Classics & More tour keeps rolling with the Band Geeks — Gateshead tonight (Oct 1), Stockholm on the 3rd, Malmö on the 5th. https://bestclassicbands.com/jon-anderson-2026-tour-with-band-geeks-2-16-26/
**Rare video**
Stumbled across this one: Jon on The Old Grey Whistle Test back in May 1976, right in the middle of the Olias of Sunhillow era. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDG5B\_BQcVU
And a personal favorite — a relaxed backyard interview from May 2005, Jon in a hammock, just talking. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1vPmyteFHk
Enjoy.
What is Jon Anderson’s lowest note on a studio track?
Thought of this question while listening to The Ancient, and in the “flowering creativity” part when he says the word “with,” it’s really low for him, and I was wondering what other very low notes he’s done on Yes songs.
Rehearsing with the Band Geeks for our upcoming excursion across the UK and Europe with Jon Anderson. We plan to crush it.
Bill and Jon backstage at the Jon Anderson And The Band Geeks show in Brighton last night
From Bill: Great show last night in Brighton, UK, with old friend and warrior Jon Anderson and the Band Geeks. A remarkable and emotional performance. Would his pipes hold up? Sang like a bird. Were the Band Geeks any good? By the time they were done with that old warhorse 'Close to the Edge' as an opener, Carolyn and I knew we were in safe hands. More importantly, so was Jon. Enjoy the rest of your tour, guys!
Does anyone still listen to Jon & Vangelis?
I thought Short Stories was a very interesting album - spontaneous, original, meaningful lyrics, great interplay between synths and Jon’s beautiful voice. The Friends of Mr Cairo also had some great songs.
Recommend me an artist (or band) who deserves to be obsessed over?
I’d like some lesser known artists with great catalogs but I don’t want to constrain anyone’s inclination. Who are you obsessed with and if you like, why should be all be?
Muse Loss
What band lost their muse the most suddenly and completely? I’m talking incredible songs to nothing of note. I think The Black Crowes after Three Snakes One Charm had nothing to offer.
Please recommend to me the Greatest Album no one knows.
I’d like to hear a truly great album start to finish that I’ve never heard.
I know this is not a sub-reddit for Jon Anderson, but he is touring near me in June and I'm wondering if he and his band is worth seeing. Website is Jon Anderson Tour 2026: YES Epics, Classics and More. I think the last time I saw him (with Yes) was the early 2000's (may be making a mistake there as at that time Yes had a couple of replacements for him) The web site says YES Epics, Classics and More. Anybody see him lately, like this decade? Opinions wanted. Thank you
