Failing calculus. Need advice.

Hi so as the title says, I’m failing calculus. Totally bombed the first midterm and have been totally lost ever since. I never took precalc and underestimated how fast the spring semester moves. I’m fairly certain that even if I try my best I will fail.

Realistically I should drop and focus on getting my precalc skills up to par but the issue is that dropping the class will screw my student loan situation which I am reliant on.

So my question is; should I bother showing up to class and struggling through assignments only to most likely end up failing anyways or should I just take the L(F) now and focus on precalc without the added stress and (likely) wasted time of going to class when I barely understand what’s going on. It’s probably worth noting that I studied for probably 20+ hours in the week leading up to the first midterm and still blanked on the majority of the exam. My other class this semester is non-academic and I will very likely get an A so my GPA will most likely be a 2.0 for the semester.

Oh I’m also an alcoholic, one week sober.

I just want to play age of empires and edit videos

Hi everyone, thanks for existing. I know almost nothing about computers. I’m looking for the best laptop that can play old video games and edit videos. Not super interested in Apple but open to it I guess. Thank you.

Edit: here is the form

Total budget (in local currency) and country of purchase. Please do not use USD unless purchasing in the US:
no budget but the less expensive the better. I’m not going to be doing anything too crazy with it

Are you open to refurbs/used?
yes but would prefer new

How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?
Ngl I don’t know what this means

How important is weight and thinness to you?
not at all

Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.
bigger would be better but I’m not picky

Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.
Age of Empires 2, Age of Mythology would be cool too. Some super basic editing software, I’m not making films over here

If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?
just the two mentioned about

Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?
no

Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.
I appreciate any and all advice. Thank you for your time.
