Annoying hard drive sound

Had this hard drive for 3-4 years I think, haven’t used it much as it was sitting in my homelab unplugged for a long time. This annoying sound is happening for 10-15-20secs, stops for a few seconds, and restarts. Is it a faulty hard drive?

5 ct. silky aquamarine from Mozambique

Design: Classic continental from Arya Akhavan.

A little bit disappointed by the final render, didn't know that the silk would absorb so much reflection! The facets are not sparkly. Looks like the stone is unpolished but trust me it's just the inclusions :)

Should have gone with a step cut. Will know for the future! Otherwise the stone is still pretty, nice color and nice design. Filmed in indirect sunlight.

New desk setup

Following my previous post asking for some tips, here is what I have done to embed my ultratec in a desk!
Bought a desk for 50€ second hand. Made a big hole (with a hand saw, what a pain in the ass). Added some reinforcement with 2 wooden brackets. This wont budge for decades.
Added some silicon padding between the desk and the machine to lessen the vibrations. I will add some sound insulation where the leg room is because there is some reverb. And put a cover to hide the bottom part of the machine. Otherwise I am happy with the result!

Anyone using an UltraTec V5 recessed into their workbench?

Hi everyone,
Is anyone using an UltraTec V5 recessed into their workbench by cutting an opening in the benchtop so the machine sits down into it?
If so, how did you do it? Do you have any tips for supporting it properly and making sure it's securely held in place?
I'd really appreciate any photos or advice. Thanks!

Anyone editing NEF files in luminar neo?

Do you have good results with luminar? I have a z6II and tried to edit some NEF files , but the render is so weird, like a grainy look.

Edit: here is an example: On the left, raw image in luminar neo. On the right, raw image in NX studio. No edit done , just file opened. You can see on the left some noise/ grainy look (I am not talking about the grey color I know it's normal)

Edit 2: thanks everyone for the answers. It was very helpful. I did some more tests with the advices given, ran some lighting and color noise reduction and it seems to do the job. I was losing hope, luminar neo is a very cool and intuitive software to use compared to NX STUDIO and I was afraid I would be stuck.

Les putains de leds

Qui est derrière ce complot de pollution visuelle? Pourquoi chaque putain d’objet a une putain de led de 3000 watts qui éclaire ton lieu de vie la nuit comme en plein jour? Pourquoi la PUTAIN DE LED est elle allumée alors que l’appareil est en VEILLE?

Y’A DES LEDS PARTOUT Y’EN A MARRE.

Qui sont les gens qui design les objets électroniques? Pourquoi veulent ils toujours que les leds soient allumées? Surpuissantes qui plus est?
J’espère que des moustiques survolent leurs oreilles toutes les nuits.

Tu charges quelque chose? LED.
Micro-onde? LED!
Ecran? LED.
Multiprise? LED!(grosse led en plus).
PC portable tiens pourquoi pas? LED!
Ventilateur? Pourquoi pas une led aussi tiens.

Gneugneu c pour indiker que c’est etat de marche. Je m’en fous. Ca sert a rien h24, tout le temps, partout.

Pourquoi pas intégrer des leds dans les oreillers bientôt.

Voila j’en ai ras le cul des leds de partout.

Some pure black spinel

Here is a little black spinel from Thailand. Small stone and nice color. Missed an index while polishing so there is a little failed meetpoint.
