I embroidered Humpy!

Just wanted to share my embroidery hoop of Humpy after his historic win 🥇

Been working on this for a few weeks (I’m a beginner at the craft) and it’s been so fun! Go Mariners! 💙

Humpy! My first non-kit embroidery project!

Humpy is a beloved salmon who runs in a mascot race (salmon run) at the Seattle Mariners games. He always loses, but he is a fan favorite.

Last season, during game 5 of the ALDS, the Mariners went to 15 innings. The in-game entertainment team decided to do a second salmon run to entertain the crowd… AND HUMPY WON FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!!!! And right after Humpy won, the Mariners won the game to send them to their first ALCS since 2001!!!

The photo I embroidered is the Mariners Moose hugging Humpy after his first (and still only) win 🥇

Cheapest place to get jeans hemmed?

I went to a downtown area dry cleaner last year and spent $40 to hem jeans that weren’t even worth that much 😫

Looking for recommendations on the cheapest place to get some jeans hemmed- doesn’t need to be original hem! Thank you!

Hi! I’m a beginner working on my first non-kit project and need some advice or help on what stitch to use.

I’m trying to create some floofy, curly hair for a mascot moose. Think Justin Timberlake, spaghetti, hair. I’m already doing turkey work cut really short to make the moose fur. I’m thinking I need some kind of longer turkey work but… more chaotic? Is turkey work the only option I have? (I’m a beginner, so I really don’t know all my options!!) My vision is hard to describe, sorry!

Pic of the moose, with the hair on top.

I FINALLY got my first pair of Docs last Fall and I am obsessed with the look. I’ve been wanting a pair for a long time and I’m so excited.

However… this insole is just flat. Wearing these makes my knees, lower back, and arches sore. If I am standing or walking in them for any amount of time I am in pain for days.

I’m only 34, relatively in shape, this doesn’t seem to be a health issue. I do however have high arches.

I’ve tried one pair of random Amazon brand orthotics and one pair of Timberland Pro Anti-Fatigue orthotics and they both had the same issue - the shoe is now too tight on the top of my foot, because the orthotic is putting my foot too high.

The sole seems to be glued in. I have the 101 Ambassador Leather Ankle Boots (https://www.drmartens.com/us/en/101-ambassador-leather-ankle-boots-black/p/32166001)

Thank you!!!
