Built something to fix group ride planning chaos — would love feedback from this sub

You know the drill, someone plans a ride to Dhanushkodi, drops 10 pins on Google Maps, types out the route in a long WhatsApp message by copying google map pin links, and then the group chat turns into chaos the moment someone suggests a detour or the weather changes. The signups are just repeating the same message over and over again, and don't even get started on figuring out what gear everyone's supposed to bring.

I got tired of this so I've been building Roadbook. You create a route and a gear list, attach them to a ride, and share it. There are two ways to share, send someone a copy of the plan so they have it to use, or share it as a group ride so it stays linked and everyone's on the same plan if things change. Anyone with the code can also just import a route or gear list to reuse for their own ride.

Once you're done planning, open the ride on your phone and go to riding mode and the whole thing works offline as a PWA, so no signal needed mid-ride. In "riding mode" you can tap navigate to jump straight into Google Maps for turn-by-turn, and mark each leg/day as done as you go.

Still building — next up is a community feed and the ability to add photos/videos from a ride and share straight to social media from the app.

Would love feedback from people who actually organize and do group or solo rides here. Tell me what's missing, what'd make this useful vs. just sticking with WhatsApp. Happy to share a link if folks are curious.
