Prescription in Mumbai

Hello All,

I don’t live in India, and I’m currently on a Mounjaro prescription from my doctor. I’m visiting family in Mumbai and was wondering if anyone could recommend the best way to get the prescription filled and where I could source a Mounjaro pen from a legitimate pharmacy in Mumbai.

It’s almost 50% cheaper in India compared to where I live, so I’m hoping to purchase one pen to take back with me.

Would really appreciate any advice or recommendations. Thanks!

Leg Workouts

Hello all,

Not sure if it's just me, but I'm not comfortable using the straps for leg workouts, and they are always painful or uncomfortable to use. Are there any alternative aftermarket leg curl benches that can attach to the Gym Monster cable that we can use? I really like the machine otherwise, but struggling to do the leg workouts so any ideas/suggestions would help.

Tracking Apps

Hello all,

I wanted to check: from your personal experience, have you come across any apps that can track glucose data via CGM along with GLP-1 data? I don't want to use multiple apps, so it would be great if there is one that does both. I'm taking GLP-1 mainly to control my insulin resistance in addition to losing weight.

Any help would be appreciated.

Plexamp Alternatives?

I like Plexamp, but a lot of its best features are locked behind a paywall. I used to have a yearly subscription, but I accidentally cancelled it through the app. Unlike most other apps, the subscription expired immediately instead of letting me use the remaining time I had already paid for.

I contacted Plex support, but they were extremely unhelpful, and I ended up losing about 8 months of my subscription. That experience is one of the main reasons I don't really want to support Plex as a company anymore.

Are there any good alternatives to Plexamp? I only use Plex for music. I don't mind paying developers who are working on a project and actively improving it. Ideally, I'd like something with features similar to Plexamp, or at least a project that's actively working toward that kind of feature set.

EDIT: Thanks for all the responses, I’m glad I asked as there are so many good alternatives out here.

For the benefit of everyone asking in future, here what I’ve tried.

Sonamp - Excellent so far, great level of customization’s. Has its own sonic analysis baked in (doesn’t work for me but have raised it with developer). It’s in TestFlight mode so it’s understandable.

Poppy - Tried but doesn’t work. Dev mentioned he is working on it.

Tromme - It’s simple plug and play, does its job well. No customizations at this point but it’s great for someone who just wants to connect and start playing without much tinkering. Already available on the App Store for a nominal one time fee.

Anyone applied for an Ireland Visa Recently?

Just wanted to check if anyone recently applied for an Irish visit visa. What were your timelines. Planing to visit my brother in August but it seems like the processing time can be 6-8 weeks.

Anxiety over approval

I’ve had a Schengen visa before, but last year I applied through Hungary, and my application was rejected for a very vague reason, even though I had already provided the required details clearly. The appeal process was paid for and could take up to two months, so I decided not to pursue it since my leave had already been approved, and I ended up making alternative travel plans instead.

Financially, my profile is quite strong: I have a stable salary, own property, and overall good financial standing and strong home ties.

After looking into it a bit, I came across discussions suggesting that some embassies may be stricter than others or may not always have enough resources or manpower to thoroughly review every application. In some cases, it can feel like applications are refused for generic reasons simply because many applicants won’t go through the extra cost and time of an appeal.

Is there any reliable source or website where I can check Schengen visa approval or rejection rates by country? I’d prefer applying through a country where applications are evaluated more fairly and consistently, so I can avoid another frustrating experience.

Thanks.

Hey everyone,

I recently came across a coffee roaster that’s supposedly launching soon on Kickstarter, and it got me thinking. I’ve been a daily coffee drinker for years, and where I live, specialty beans can get pretty expensive. I’ve been considering roasting my own using green beans as a way to save money and get more involved in the process.

Curious to hear your thoughts, do you think a home coffee roasting product like this still has a good entry point when they launch? I know they have an existing product which has mixed reviews but overall acceptable. Any other products I should explore, I want to ideally buy something that’s mid range but not super expensive.

Appreciate any honest feedback.
