The city waste so much money and time every year putting up those electronic signs around town saying fireworks are banned

😂 absolute war zone.

Flying for the first time, internationally as well, is it easy?

I’m going to Europe next week and it’ll be my first time ever flying and first time leaving the country. I’m flying out of PDX at 8:20am and I honestly have no idea what I’m doing. Never even been to PDX. I’m meeting up with family over there but due to work I have to fly solo.

Pretty nervous about the whole process since I’ve never done any of this before, could someone explain please

When you have kids… is everything you own theirs too?

Is it really true that once you have kids, everything you own basically becomes theirs too practically forever? Like, “what’s yours is mine” just becomes the family motto? Or is that just something people joke about?

For example, if you were fortunate enough to buy a vacation home, would your kids just be able to use it whenever they wanted? What about borrowing your car, using your tools, or inviting friends over to your place? Do parents usually have boundaries, or is it more of an “our stuff” situation once they’re adults as well? Is it a forever thing pretty much as soon as they pop out. Obviously to a certain degree I would think, I don’t know. I was raised by my grandparents so it was kinda like that for simple household stuff.

Curious to hear how it actually works in real life.

How future proof is Immich?

I’m pretty new to homelabbing and Immich is the one and only software outside Plex and the ARR apps after almost 10 years of running it on my server.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but how future-proof is Immich? I’ve been really liking it so far after struggling for 2 days getting it up and running, but what happens if the project goes dead or development stops?

I know my photos and videos are safe on my hard drives and backups, but would I basically just be stuck running an old version of Immich forever? Would it eventually become unsafe to run if there are no more updates?

Do you think Immich is around for the long haul, or is this just one of those risks you accept with self hosted software?

Part of why I’m asking is because I’ve watched Plex change a lot over the years. And with the lifetime pass going from $250 to $750, it reminded me that nothing lasts forever and it might point to financial struggles behind the scenes. I’ve started playing around with Jellyfin as a backup plan just in case even though I’ve poured countless hours into organizing my Plex library posters, collections and everything else.

Would Sam be a HOF if he leads us to another Super Bowl again?

If Sam wins a second Super Bowl with us and puts up roughly the same level of stats and production as he did last season for 2-3 more seasons, would that be enough to get him into the Hall of Fame? Or did his bloom start too late and it will take a 3rd Super Bowl?
