Some of the most common health advice works this way - eat fish 2x/week, strength training 2+/week, cardio 150min/week, teeth cleaning 2x/year, etc.
It's not just health. Almost everything I keep on top of works this way. Laundry, groceries, apartment cleaning - roughly weekly. Change the sheets, budget reviews, haircuts - monthly. Most of my goals work this way too - ex. work on side project 8h/week, read 4h/week.
I have daily routines too but an app that forces everything to be daily/streak-based misses too much. Apps with more flexible frequencies often work by scheduling out everything which doesn't seem right either. It really doesn't matter if I eat fish on a Monday or Tuesday.
So I built Flexir. You add routines at any frequency — daily, 3x/week, 150m/week, 1x/month, 2x/year, whatever — and it figures out what actually needs attention today based on your pace. Behind on something? It's at the top. Significantly ahead? It's tucked away. You open the app and just see what matters right now.
It's a shortlist, not a schedule. Open it when you feel like doing something and pick what fits - a couple of small things on a rough day, something bigger when you've got more time/energy. Stay on top of your routines and goals in a flexible way, because they just aren't rigid as other habit apps make them out to be.
Currently available on Android and as a webapp at flexir.app. Free, no ads.
Would love any feedback, thanks!
Hi, I'm on an extended career break/open ended world trip and learning photography along the way. These pics are from the market in Granada Nicaragua. Photography has quickly become a passion and I'm spending a lot of time now trying to learn and improve.
I'm working on getting better at layering and composing with colors and shadows/silhouettes (which I'm not very good at rn). I think I'm getting ok at finding some good frames and sometimes lucky enough to catch a good moment.
Would love feedback on anything! Thanks!
And in case anyone's interested, here's my ig: shuisonfire
Life jackets as rain hats, open umbrellas indoors - you never know when a boring transit day turns into a photo session with some really fun moments.
Most of my routines have a natural frequency, not a fixed schedule.
A lot of standard health advice works this way - eat fish twice a week, strength train 3x/week, teeth cleaning 2x/year. And then I realized how many routine tasks I have that work this way - cleaning the apartment, laundry, groceries, haircuts, checking in with friends and family, budget reviews, practicing photography, even remembering to use my monthly and bi-annual credit card perks. None of it cares which day it happens on. It doesn't matter if I eat fish Monday or Tuesday, or run my budget review on the 1st or the 5th, I just want to grab these when I have time.
While some habit apps allow for flexible frequencies, nothing felt built around it. I don't want to stare down a massive, fixed list and do mental math to figure out what actually needs doing today. If I've already completed a weekly task, or am 2/3 complete 2 days into a week, or I did a monthly task just a few days ago, it should just be off my radar.
So I built Flexir. You add routines at any frequency (daily, 3x/week, 2x/month, 1x/year, whatever) and it figures out what actually needs attention today based on your pace. Behind on something? It's at the top. Significantly ahead? It's tucked away. You open the app and just see what matters right now.
I'd love any feedback. The app is in closed beta on android:
(The group step is just how Google gates closed betas - takes a few seconds. The app is free.)
Hey all, looking for testers to help me hit the requirement on a closed beta.
App: Flexir is a routine tracker for habits that aren't daily. You set any frequency (daily, 3x/week, 1x/month, 4x/year, etc.) and it surfaces what needs attention today based on your current pace.

I've been learning photography since the beginning of the year and yesterday, I had my best photography session so far! I think I'm starting to figure out the right kind of energy to bring to it. The session felt relaxed and fun and people seemed to enjoy being photographed; I think that really helps in finding good elements and frames!
Thought I'd share and would love any feedback.
The market is called benito juarez. It's shot on x100vi. Everything is on classic negative film sim with no other edits than some light cropping here and there.
