[5 YoE, Administrative Assistant, Part-time retail/customer service, USA] Getting rejected left and right. The job market or my resume?
[0 YoE, Order Entry, Manufacture/Machinist/Diemaker, USA] Helping my partner update their resume which is all over the place, this is what I've come up with.
Bad relationship with my body and clothes. And absolutely no fashion sense. Help?

I am so sorry for the wall of text following.

Dreaded clothes shopping since I was young. A crazy mix of gender dysphoria, body image issues, and autism.

It was always hard to change styles or wear something different than I was used to. My mother said the switch from short sleeve weather to long sleeves was *rough* when I was a kid, for example. Even as an adult, there is a jean jacket I bought years ago in my closet that has never been worn because the material feels gross on my arms. As much as I do like the jacket, I also have no clue how it's supposed to be styled.

Nothing looks good on me or as intended. My body proportions are hard to dress because I'm both extremely short *and* obese.

But I've always aspired to dress better. Some of the stuff in these photos are more recent acquisitions I've been trying to fit into my life or make them work with outfits. While I have preferred men's clothing for most of my teens and 20s, I have recently wanted to explore more women's clothing (with the *very strong* exception of dresses and skirts, and anything *too* revealing, or overly feminine).

I made a huge step a couple years ago by purchasing a bathing suit and *actually wearing it in public at a beach*. I have NEVER done that. I have always been the girl swimming in a t-shirt and men's swim trunks.

I have my first ever handbag and matching wallet coming to me soon which I'm excited about.

These outfits are ones I like or wear commonly.

1 is my work clothes. I wear the same combination everyday. A cardigan, basic shirt, black or khaki pants, and either the Dr Sholls or some sneakers. I really don't like having to think hard about clothes and I find this to be the easiest way to dress myself in the mornings.

2 - 4 are just random outfits I like and you may see me wearing.

5 is the one and only bathing suit I've ever worn in my life.

6 is newly acquired sandals unlike anything I've worn before but I like them. I also have no clue what they are supposed to be worn with but I don't mind this outfit.

7 is just what I wear every single day outside of work. Like 90% of my closet is random t-shirts and the rest hoodies and joggers. I am most comfortable in this and wish I could wear it for all occasions and weather.

A cry for help. I'm tired of dressing like a bum every day.

What blood work is normal for a doctor to run, especially if I haven't been in like 8 years?
Hi,
For context: I'm 30 years old, diagnosed with PCOS when I was 13. Transitioned to male at 19 and took testosterone, then de-transitioned at 21 and stopped taking it. I am obese at 162 pounds, down from 185 pounds in February (!!). I haven't had a period since July 2025 when they suddenly stopped coming. I haven't been to any kind of doctor since I was 21. I don't experience PCOS symptoms besides the irregular and now non-existent periods, and extreme facial and body hair. Wednesday was my first appointment with a new provider to be more aware of my health and get healthier.
I'm surprised he didn't order much bloodwork to be done! I got the results back today. Some results are marked as high though. Here are the tests he did and the results:
A1c: 4.8
Total Cholesterol: 190
Triglycerides: 114
HDL Cholesterol: 41
Non-HDL Cholesterol: 149 (H)
VLDL Cholesterol Calc: 19
LDL Chol. Calc: 130 (H)
TSH: 1.660
Free T4: 1.32
Glucose 2 hour tolerance, fasting: 80
Glucose 2 hour tolerance +120 minutes: 95
The visit was establishing care, discussing my history, my current weight loss journey, my current issues, a lot about PCOS, my plans for the future, and he wanted these tests done. I see him again in 3 months for a weight check-up.
Is this unusual? Is there anything I should have said/asked for? I'm very inexperienced dealing with doctors and the healthcare system.
