What happened and how do I save them?

I propagated these jade plants from a cutting a family member gave me a few years ago. They've always seemed perfectly healthy but recently I've been having to leave town frequently to deal with something. The last 2 photos are what they looked like last week when I came back after being away for a few days. I grew very concerned, watered them, and moved them into less direct light as I thought it was sunburn from leaving my blinds open while I was away.

Now I'm back again today and they seem even worse. I'm now thinking maybe it might be root rot? The soil of one seems to have mold in it (see photos).

Can anyone help me diagnose and fix this issue? I'm honestly not very knowledgeable about jade plants or plants in general, part of why I've liked these so much is because they're low effort. But they're also sentimental, so I'm determined to save them. Any help is very welcome 🙏

Will something like this help me kill bedbugs?

I'm working on getting basically everything I own through the dryer as I have an infestation. Wondering if I could put books, shoes, purses that can't tolerate tumble drying in a product like this? Or will it not get hot enough by the dryer door?

How to dye it black?

Bought this dress at a thrift store, but the color is super unflattering on me. I have to wear black to work so I'd like to dye it black. The tag says it's 100% linen with a rayon "slip" however there's not a slip. Since I thrifted it it's possible the slip was taken out. I've dyed linen before, but not black. What are the best tips for getting this black? And what should I use? I have experience with procion mx dyes but is there something else that would be better for this? Or should I try a different color? What will happen if it doesn't go completely black? TIA for any tips!

Btw I would not be opposed to it shrinking a tiny bit in the process, but I don't want to overdo it.

Is there anything I can do for this dew

Hi! My friend's brother gave me seeds from his Drosera Capensis that I planted and for years it was doing wonderfully and catching flies and being the apple of my eye. A few months ago, out of seemingly nowhere, it took a turn for the worst and now seems to be mostly dead except for this teeny tiny green section. I read that you can replant sundew from a cutting, could I do that with the living part here? Please advise if there is any way at all I can resuscitate this without completely starting over from new seeds.

I really don't know anything about carnivorous plants, this is the first one I've ever had. I loved her sooo much and I know I should have addressed this before now but I've had a challenging couple of months and many things that were important to me fell by the wayside including this. Please be kind and if you must let me down, let me down gently 🙏 happy to answer any questions in the comments

Edit to include conditions: I had it in my windowsill which gets bright light and southern exposure. I have it in a pot, sitting in a tray that I keep filled with filtered water. The soil I believe was a 50/50 mix of peat moss and regular potting soil-- I can't totally remember since I planted it a few years ago. My place gets pretty warm during the day, usually 75-77 degrees F but right next to the window I think it gets warmer than that when it's sunny but also probably is a bit drafty when it's cold out. After it started getting so brown and crunchy I moved it out of the windowsill further into the room because I thought the issue could be from temperature changes being so close to the window. I am in the Mid-Atlantic region of the US.
