Started vibecoding with Unity a week ago

I learned about a week ago that Unity supports mcp so I downloaded it for the first time and started vibecoding this game project.

It’s mind blowing how AI tools enable ppl with almost zero game dev experience to build something like this in a week.

Stacks: Claude code, Unity, Meshy (3d models), Elevenlabs (sound fx), Nano banana 2 and some paid assets from Unity Asset Store.

Any DACA Aviation Mechanics on this sub?

Hi all. I am a recently laid-off software engineer who wants to get out of the tech and wanna look into becoming an aviation mechanic. I currently live in NYC so I've been looking into Vaughn College program for A&P certificate.

Here are some of my questions:

  1. Is 24 months enough time for someone to get A&P certificate with no prior mechanical experience?
  2. How's the hiring process for DACA after getting the cert? do we need GC or citizenship for jobs?
  3. How's your experience in general and job market for the industry?
  4. Would you recommend it?

I built a website that aggregates sub-3K listings in NYC. Would this be useful?

My friend recently asked me to help him find an apt so I built this simple site that aggregates sub-$3000 apt listings from Zillow, Streeteasy, HeyKorean, Reddit, FB, and Craigslist. I update the list every hour or so.

Would something like this be useful for ppl looking for apt? Also open to take any suggestion for more listing sources.

Aquarium module for cube display

I posted few days ago about cube display I’ve been working on and I just added mini aquarium + gemma 4 powered AI assistant. LLM is connected to Brave search mcp so it can perform web search.

Cube holographic display using Pi 4 and beam splitter cube

For some funemployment project, I've been working on this cube display that uses raspberry pi 4 + 7cm display + beam splitter cube. I found this github repo where I found all hardware parts (including 3d printed parts). I decided to make my own control + display system using NextJS, TS, Supabase and LM studio. Basically a web app running on full screen chromium.

Future planned features are:

  1. local AI assistant with face of Zordan
  2. more crazy Winamp style visualizers
  3. more cool modules
  4. Running Doom on this thing
