Course Reflections

I am at the end of my 3rd course and this would be my second course reflection. I didn’t do the first one because I thought it was just something to do in your head, as it wasn’t graded. I now see that it is for every course!

Does everyone do the course reflection and does it matter for your portfolio or should I skip it?

I ask because I didn’t do the first one. I went back and looked and don’t really remember all the stuff I did for those assignments. Aka, I really don’t want to back pedal lol.

D635 Practices for Inclusive Classrooms Task 2

I can’t lie, I’m a little overwhelmed by the credible sources aspect of Task 2! The library is a lot lol. Does anyone have any suggestions for any articles in the database? Or did you use something else? It’s rather daunting!

Snow White

My 3 year old daughter has an obsession with Snow White at the moment! Does anyone know if she makes appearances at the Royal Hall? Or does she walk around the Royal Theater area?

Hitting Help

My 2 1/2 year old has been hitting for a while now. Her dad and I are at our wits end. Our problem is that it’s starting to really hurt and injure us. She hit my husband with a doll and he started bleeding!

We’ve tried every strategy that we can find. None of it works. We need some help!

Lightning Lane Virgin

This is crazy to say but I’ve never done lightning lane. I’m a season pass holder who has not a clue how to use it! Since it’s so crowded at DL right now, we’re considering buying it but I was wondering if you all had some helpful hints about it. I have a couple of questions:
My daughter is 2, does she need a pass or is she free?
If we wanted to do a couple individual lightning lanes instead of buying the whole package, how much are each rides typically?

My daughter is 2 1/2 and 36in so we can’t do the full lightning lane experience, hence why we never bought it. Would it be worth it or should we just focus on character meet and greets this time?

Uh oh, another potty training question

I’m about to start to get serious on potty training. I’m reading, “No-Cry Potty Training Solution” and one thing it has noted was to buy multiples of the same potty if you need more around the house.

I have a 2 story home and definitely need 2 pottys. However, I have bought the Ms. Rachel potty and the Ms. Rachel seat cover at separate times. Can I just use one up stairs and one downstairs or should I commit to buying 2 pottys or 2 seat covers instead?

Does anyone else have hope that the current closure of Buzz Lightyear Astroblasters will be the same renovations that happened at Disney World? It’s one of my favorite rides and I hate how deteriorated it has become over the years.

Today, I rode single rider for Matterhorn for the first time in years. Definitely the first time since I’ve been in my 30s. I thought people were really overreacting when it came to the roughness of this ride. Holy cow, I was in pain! I didn’t even get the good side which has the drops. I just got a slow journey with a side of back pain!

My husband and I are at our wits end with our toddlers antics. When she’s angry and/or being told not to do something, I get hit, kicked, bit, gouged, hair pulled…etc. She went through something similar before she turned 2 and then went through the phase. Now, it’s back and it’s worse.

I have tried all the parenting tips like grabbing her hand and saying, “I will not let you hit me.” I try to separate her from me when she hurts me. I try to appeal to her empathic side and tell her it hurts. It’s not getting through to her. It’s super embarrassing when we’re in public and she’s hitting me and other things.

I have two questions:

Does any one have any suggestions on what else I can do to curb this behavior?

When I’m alone with her in public and she starts hitting me, what do I do? I can’t separate myself.
