Can parents pls parent their kids instead of having them scream in public?

ok for a bit of context, i was recently out with my friend and we went to a cafe to drink some coffee and catch up cuz she studies in another country currently and we're both relatively busy so we don't go out as often as we did before

and while we were just chatting and drinking, we hear this child screaming, throwing a literal tantrum so me and my friend just look at each other and discreetly look at the table near us just to see the mom of the child doing nothing to stop it, she was chatting with a friend and has told the child to "stop" but a child being a child doesn't simply just stop, he goes back to throwing a tantrum once again until he gets bored and shuts up eventually

like yes, i know it is hard to be a parent and that kids can't properly regulate their emotions but it's your JOB as a parent to control your child and be mindful of people around you in public especially in places like restaurants and cafes, not everyone can handle loud screaming and frankly, it's just annoying 🫩

Im so sick and tired of this (possibly a vent)

I'm (20F) and i have known i don't want kids since i was 12, im the oldest sibling and i have been surrounded by kids such as my two younger siblings and younger cousins which made me not want them, on top of that, i know i'd be terrible mother, im also on asexual spectrum and im really scared of pregnancy and childbirth as i have researched all the risks of it and decided i don't wanna take them, like ever.

But no matter how much i explain this, everyone says how i'll change my mind and that im still too young to know, worse, its my own family who doesn't understand me

For example, i told my father i don't want kids when i was 16 and he proceeded to lecture me for 10 minutes on my ride to school about how that's "the purpose of life" and it's a selfish decision

Then when i told my grandma i don't want them, she brushed me off with "im too young to know" and that i will "change my mind"

My own mother too, who told me she wants grandkids in future and doesn't want me to end up as some crazy cat lady (even tho i see nothing wrong with that, i love cats)

And mind you, she had 3 pregnancies, the third one with my brother was a really hard one on her body so i thought she'd understand where im coming from but no cuz pregnancy, no matter how risky it is, is somehow a "miracle" and a "beautiful thing" like omg im so sick of this, its not 🫩

The point is, im so damn tired of my own family not understanding my decision as it isn't literally my life?? i don't owe them anything and yet, they act like i do, im so tired of people forcing women to have kids when they don't want them...yeah, that's the entire rant (or vent, however you see it), i just needed to talk about this somewhere where people would understand me cuz my own family can't apparently.

I don't know what to identify myself with

Hi!! So i need some help when it comes to finding out what i am on asexual spectrum, for longest time, i identified with demisexual, but im questioning it now, im generally okay with sex, i literally read smut and don't mind it in books and i can feel some arousal from it, however, i could never imagine myself actually doing it with someone irl and i never found anyone sexually attractive, alongside that, im bi, i know that very well but even then, i never imagined doing anything sexual with people i liked, so i do believe im somewhere on ace spectrum i just don't know what i am, i feel like its either demiace, aceflux, ace or some other ace identity i don't know of yet, so i would appreciate some help <3 (also sorry if anything in the post is a bit off, English isn't my first language)

What regulations would you want for AI?

as the title says, if you could, what regulations would you want to have for AI, data centers and AI content in general? or maybe you think AI doesn't need any regulations or you think AI should be abolished completely (don't forget to elaborate on those tho), im just curious to see what other people want and think so i don't mind if one's opinions and suggestions are more pro or anti leaning, just say whatever you think :)

also its just cuz i wanna see some actual opinions and serious talk instead of "AI slop" and "pencil slop" bs and hear out both sides (the typing/grammar might be a bit off, sorry for that, English ISN'T my first language)

Am i the only one

Idk if this is the right subreddit for this but i hate when im watching some silly video like an animation or anything like that and i open comments only to see 'better than AI' or 'at least its not AI' like it just kills my mood for some reason, im not pro-AI nor i am completely anti-AI i'd say im somewhere in the middle ground, i have my own opinions and critics when it comes to AI, especially AI generated content but what's the point of bringing up AI in non-AI related content? tbh, just wanted to see if someone feels similar as me or something 😭😭
