31M here. I've been willing to put this for a while now.. so here goes..

Are you someone who:

- is learning an instrument/vocals and only at amateur level currently

- and/or feels nervous to go to jam events

- and/or dont feel giving up on that one bucket list item titled 'play in a band' which you imagined yourself doing but never happened.. cause life did?

I play the bass guitar. Tried and failed long back but now picked it up again after 7 long years and still trying to relearn.

I am looking for amateur level jam buddies in Pune.

I am specifically looking for a drummer, guitarist(s) , vocalist(s) and possibly a keyboardist as I'm more into rock music.

Though I mainly love classic rock and would love to jam on those songs, I am open to any other genres as well.

My favorite bands: Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, Eagles, Led Zeppelin and many more.

I am based near Baner, but open to anywhere in Pune.

Just wild timing that as I started tripping so much on Fleetwood Mac, there's a Fleetwood Mac tribute happening on 6th June at Shisha Jazz cafe Pune.

For the longest time, I knew only a few songs by them. The chain, dreams, rhiannon, thats it.

Somehow their best of album on youtube played in background while I was just resting... and brooo THEY HAVE SO MANY BANGERS OH MY GOD. It's almost like discovering a whole new band. I'm really tripping on them right now. Such variety too.

Some of their songs which became my recent favorites: go your own way, gypsy, seven wonders, everywhere. And even all the other songs I don't think even 1 I found boring.

Looking for people in Pune who’d enjoy theatre reading, i.e. reading plays/stories aloud in character - like a mix of theatre, book club, and voice acting.

The idea is simple: we pick a story, assign characters/narration, and read it aloud as if we’re performing it — not full theatre production, just expressive reading and character interpretation.

We can pick short stories with interesting characters/dialogue, and perform expressive readings together. No acting experience needed.

Why I am Childfree and Anti-marriage:

I was raised by a single mom and have really seen the worst sides of our society; don't want to make a child go through this world ever.

About marriage: I want to be with my partner for as long as possible, with our own friend group, maybe pets, and a simple life of making each other laugh every single day.

When marriage comes into the picture, I think there is a shift in this whole dynamic - its then all about "family" responsibilities, relatives/cousins that we hate, people who we really don't wanna see, and this one function which imo is the most plastic event in the entire world.

Final Comments:

I think I have a lot of grace in the way I live, and I although I have built a good life from the cards I was dealt, it is tough being on your own at times.
