Tattoos in the workplace

Hi! so i’ll be a texas slpa soon and i wanted to know if anyone has had any issues getting a job with visible tattoos? i have a half sleeve and two visible arm tattoos, i was wondering if speech therapy jobs in general require tattoos to be covered or if they don’t care as long as the tattoos aren’t offensive. I pretty much want to know if that’s even a thing in the field. Thanks in advance!

women should support women. period.

i am a new fan of dcc americas sweethearts. i’ve been watching it since it came out on netflix, and i love it. watching this latest season made my heart break for the girls on the team with how much hate they receive. now i’m not saying that i know these girls because i don’t. but the amount of people still picking them apart on this app is incredibly sad and pathetic. as a woman myself, it’s so hard for us to be secure with ourselves, our looks, hair, personality, weight, etc. for people to get on here and talk badly about them even AFTER these women have cried about how hard it is seeing the hate and criticism they get on reddit and other social media platforms is cruel. btw I LOVE FAITH. lol shes AMAZING just the way she is.

edit-i am specifically talking about looks and personality not politics or moral codes, that’s obviously different ❤️

celebrating halloween and religious guilt

hi yall! i was in the jw until i was 18 years old, i am now 29. my hidden wish was to always celebrate halloween. not for the spooky and scary stuff(im a huge scaredy cat lol) it’s because i love to dress up and do over the top makeup. i have celebrated halloween since leaving jw, but in the past couple of years religious guilt, brought on by pure o and religious trauma, has made me scared to celebrate or feel guilty for celebrating. i still celebrate because i love halloween and there is nothing wrong with celebrating it but i still get that voice in the back of my head. does anyone relate? if so, do you have any advice? thanks in advance! ps. happy pride 🌈🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

[Tangled Series Music] Wind in My Hair

TRIGGER WARNING(ocd)

i love punzie’s song “wind in my hair”. this song has honestly helped me get through so much in my life. it gives me some much hope and confidence about my future. my ocd makes me feel so trapped in my mind and all the what ifs, when i put on this song it truly helps me block out the noise and adds so much positivity into my day. Rapunzel will forever be my favorite disney princess because of how much i relate to her, and this song will forever be in my disney playlist 💜✨

Solution to scalping

I’m probably so late to this and many people have most likely already suggested it but has the pokemon card collecting community ever thought about boycotting pokémon cards? i feel like if everyone truly comes together and stops buying for a couple of months, things could possibly change? if scalpers aren’t selling anything they will certainly sell at msrp to get rid of product. idk maybe this is too hard to do for some people and i understand but honestly if the problem is this bad, maybe it’s something to think about❤️
