Csir net (chemical sciences) cut off? Can anyone tell me the cut off for LS and Phd only for June 2026 for every category
I recently completed my Master's in Chemistry and want to apply for a fully funded PhD in Europe (especially Germany) in nanomaterials, nanoparticles, or carbon-based materials.
How do you usually find professors or research groups in your field? Is it better to apply to advertised PhD positions or contact professors directly?
Also, many PhD applicants seem to have publications, but my Master's didn't include research leading to a publication. How common is it to get into a PhD without publications, and is there any way to publish after completing a Master's?
I'd appreciate any advice from people who have gone through this process.
I’m curious about the process of writing a review or mini-review paper. If you’ve published one, how did you get started?
How do you choose the topic?
How many research papers do you usually include?
Can a review paper be written based on a topic you already know well (rather than just one paper)?
Is it possible to publish a review paper without a mentor or supervisor, or is that very uncommon?
What are the chances of getting it accepted in a decent journal?
I’d appreciate any advice or experiences from people who’ve done it.
Hi everyone,
I’m from India and have recently completed my M.Sc. in Chemistry (Organic Chemistry). My research experience includes the synthesis and characterization of carbon nanomaterials, and I’m currently applying for fully funded PhD positions in Europe, mainly in Germany and Italy.
I have a few questions for those who have gone through this process:
Which European countries are the most realistic for Indian students applying directly after an M.Sc.?
Which universities or research groups are known to be more open to international applicants?
Has anyone from India been accepted into groups working in nanomaterials or materials chemistry (for example, at the University of Kassel or similar universities)?
Is it better to email professors directly or apply only through advertised positions?
Any advice on improving my chances, especially with a decent research background but no journal publication yet?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences or any recommendations for professors or research groups working in nanomaterials or materials chemistry.
Thank you!
