Quick seafood linguine

Absolutely delicious seafood linguine from Waterfront Seafood and Steak restaurant in Campbell River, British Columbia. The portions of seafood were very generous and the whole thing tasted fresh and was delicious. What a great pasta. Super happy with it.

Quick tuna carpaccio

Unreal tuna carpaccio. Sushi Yummy restaurant in Abbotsford, British Columbia has great sushi. Love that place. Check it out if you're in the area, it's worth a visit.

It's albacore tuna by the way. So it'll look different than your tuna if you're not in the west coast.

Quick Wagyu beef carpaccio

Had a delicious Wagyu Beef carpaccio from Cactus club. Great appetizer, it was very delicious. Not sure about the price though because $23(cad) is slightly high for an appetizer in my books but it is Wagyu apparently so I don't know. Maybe it's worth it? Thoughts?

Does this count?

Cactus club, tuna temaki. It's delicious but is it sushi? $10 happy hour appetizer. I'm on the fence about this one.

Quick sashimi smash

I ate some really high quality tasting sashimi in Courtenay BC, at Seh-mi Japanese Restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised with how fresh and delicious everything tasted. It also came on a bed of rice which was nice. The presentation wasn't bad either. Overall it was a great experience.

Vortex wings

My friend made these for me on the ol werber over charcoal. Some of the best wings I've ever had. They were crispy and still juicy. The vortex style for cooking them was top notch, worked wonders.

Quick surf and turf and whale watching 🐳🫍

I was lucky enough to be alive and working on Vancouver Island, in Campbell River, British Columbia in Canada, North America, on planet Earth which is in Orion's Arm(or Orion's Spur) situated about 26,000 light-years from Milky Ways center, which, of course, as we all know, is our solar system, which is very obviously a massive barred spiral galaxy containing 100 to 400 billions stars.

So there I was and I happened to stay at the Anchor Inn and Suites which features the Waterfront Seafood and Steak Restaurant(and the Coconut Spa if you're into being pampered). It was such a treat to have a restaurant with gorgeous views overlooking the bay and a fine dining feeling experience. The staff were polite and cheerful, locked in and on the ball for an overall awesome experience. Nothing like whale watching and fine(ish) dining hand in hand. (Didn't see any whales but saw 3 seals 🦭) Pretty neat.

I ate the Filet Mignon(6oz) in a red wine demi, with crushed potatoes and seasonal vegetables as my main. But I added a half crab, and a lobster tail which was basically why I was there, to get into the seafood portion of the restaurant. I also had to do the restaurant justice and grab a steak as well(it's in the name). It didn't disappoint, the steak was perfect(rare) and the seafood was smaller than I expected but delicious enough that I didn't really care. I'm not a beet guy(unless they're in a borscht), and I hate carrots if they're anything but raw) so the veggies were meh for me personally, but not everyone is weird like me so I'm sure they were great. Overall I enjoyed everything about the place. I'm going back again tomorrow probably to get into some fresh shucked oysters and who knows what else.

Cheers friends. Hope you're having an awesome night and great life. You deserve it🍻

Chef's special nigiri. Anyone recognize it?

The chef sent us each a special Nigiri to try because of our obscenely large order of sushi/sake(most sake actually). Not fully sure what it was on account of the sake, that stuff works, it's hard to recall alot of that night. But I think it was something wrapped in salmon aburi? Does anyone recognize it?

Today's Nigiri...do you recognize all 4? Which is your favorite?

I love Nigiri, but it is expensive, for me anyways, so I only grabbed 5 with lunch today. But damn were they ever delicious. One day, when I'm rich, I'll eat as much sushi as I want every time I want. That'll be the day friends, life will be complete 🙂🤞🙌
