We all love Shimmering Scars…right?

This song hit me like a train carrying buses when I first heard it, and I’ve had it on repeat since the album dropped.

Great tune, relatively simple as far as Muse goes, but damn does the bridge into the last chorus hit hard.

I haven’t seen too many people talking about this song but I think it’s in the top 3 from the album easy!

To anyone else learning Dehuminized on guitar…

Got any tips for learning the 0-0-0-0’s? I’ve got the main riff and the chorus down but these breakdown riffs are killing me lmao

This might be a more broad question to metalcore/deathcore guitar players but what’s the best way to learn the patterns?

If it’s learning at 50% speed or just listening on repeat until it’s ingrained, or something else, what’s your best method to learn the track? Cheers!

I’d love some help finding a song!!

Hey team,
I’ve been trying to find this song for close to a decade now, but have never had much luck. I’m hoping someone here might be able to help a fellow millennial out.

From what I remember… It was a MySpace era screamo band - maybe 2007-2010. The song starts heavy and the vocalist sings something like ‘with the devil’s own hand..something something something…BEG FOR HER LIFE!’.

I’m aware this post might sound unhinged and I’m sorry I don’t have any more details but if anyone has even a clue, I’d be so happy!

Thanks ‘xD’

Where can I learn how things work?

At least 3 times a day, I’ll head on over to google with questions like: How does a microwave work? how do airplanes stay in the sky? What’s the deal with wireless charging?

I feel like there must be a sub or an app or something that can help me understand some of reality’s building blocks that I missed in high school. Maybe if I knew some more physics principles or whatever I wouldn’t feel so stupid haha

Cheers broskis

Can anyone explain something to me please… *DT SPOILERS*

Hey fellow CR’s. I was wondering if someone could explain the significance of the pop culture references, particularly in the Wolves of the Calla.

Why do things such as sneetches (snitches) and the Dr Doom cloaks belong in mid-world?
Is it foreshadowing the fact that this is all a story and the author SK is influenced by or drawing on pop culture? Or is it saying that Harry Potter / Dr Doom are ‘real’ people in this version of the world? I’m sure there’s other references besides these two but I can’t think of any right now.

So if this is a dumb question, I feel like I might be missing something haha

Also bonus question, why was the incredibly powerful and incredibly evil lord of darkness the Crimson King just yeeting sneetches at Roland instead of using spells or sorcery or whatever.

Don’t get me wrong I love these books so much it hurts a little, this isn’t a dig at the books I’m just a bit confused.

Thanks team!!

Say Thankya

I finished book 7 of the The Dark Tower series about an hour ago, and holy shit. So good. After thinking about it for a bit I just wanted to give a quick shoutout to this subreddit.

I posted about 6 months ago about how I was midway through The Gunslinger and not really feeling it as much as I wanted to, and you guys told me to stick with it. I’ve also stayed active on the sub and got absolutely zero DT spoilers the whole time while reading the series.

You yeah you guys rule, the Dark Tower rules, SK rules, and Oy’s the best.

The $ I’ve spent on this shit is so demoralising

Hey team, I’m lucky enough to join your community (yay me) at the age of 33, after never having TOO much of a problem with eczema before.

Basically at the start of the year I’ve gotten pretty severe eczema that I feel like has taken over my life in a way. I say this because there’s rarely a waking minute that goes past without me thinking about it.

The main point of my post is that I’ve spent $210 on a dermatologist who saw me for 5 minutes and then gave some cream that did nothing, then waited 8 weeks+ to see him again. The second time he charged me another $210 just to tell me that there’s nothing he can do and I’ll have to spend up to $1000+ on skin patch testing. And if that doesn’t work I’ll have to pay him for lifelong injections. Does this sound suss to you guys, or is this standard?

The money I’ve dropped on this shit is out of control, and that’s not even mentioning creams, steroids and everything else.

Anyone else have the same story, or has anyway got it worse? Also if anyone is hiding a miracle one size fits all cure for this shit, pls let me know!
