Synesthesia in a dream

Hi everyone, I have synesthesia but wanted to share that I experienced it in the dream I had last night and it wasn't anything like how I experience it in real life. I was at a smaller concert and the song "No Sleep Tonight" by The Faders was playing. That song is in the opening scene from She's the Man. There was this major drum solo (which doesn't really exist in the song, pretty sure the song was a mash up of a few songs) and the drum hits were blue and red in my head. I remember my whole vision and head being blue, and then red, almost as if I was looking at a sheet and that is the only thing I could see.

It was really interesting as I don't really remember my dreams. I want to remember them and be able to control them, but I can't seem to figure out how to lucid dream quite yet. I only remember a few one off dreams and a reoccuring one from when I was a kid. I couldn't really tell you what went on during the rest of the dream. But I know I will never forget that dream moment and seeing the colors and experiencing synesthesia like that.

But I can tell you that I have never experienced synesthesia in that way. I do see colors when I listen to music (much clearer with just instrumental as lyrics change everything entirely), but they are whimsical lines and shapes and patterns swirling about in my head and always against a black blackground. Then most of those lines morph into hyperphantasia with images, sounds, feeling and a whole world. My brain is definitely all sorts of cross wired lol

I am wondering if anyone here also has synesthesia that has ever shown up in a dream? Has it been the same as how you experience it in real life or different? So interested to know your thoughts! Thanks for reading and sharing :) - have a lovely day

PS - I have also shared this in the synesthesia subreddit

Harry - UAN Tour

I’ve tried to share this over the years, just so people can see it but I honestly don’t think it’s ever been seen by that many and gained a lot of traction!

Harry pre tattoos and not a very good driver. He did in fact almost run into that fire hydrant.

I took these photos on the Up All Night tour at the Chicago show back in 2012. This was the show where Liam and Zayn ripped open Harry’s shirt during his solo in WMYB! If you haven’t seen that I highly recommend a little looksee

Enjoy the fetus :D maybe we can even find the fans in the background so they know they have a picture with Harry!

Water

I would love any feedback or general thoughts or questions you might have. Thank you for taking the time to read :)

Water

Water is the very soul of this planet. The birthplace of civilizations, the final resting place of voyagers and adventurers brave enough to cross her.

Water is lakes and mountain streams, it is the vast seas and big puffy clouds. It is the only being to circumnavigate the Earth from the deepest of seas to the highest of heavens. From raindrops to ocean swells, she has seen and been it all.

Her ancient rivers of the past settling wanderers, providing them roots to flourish and thrive. Her force taking out the same civilizations, burying moments and memories in time. Reigning long before history books or the fight for power to control her.

But water’s most captivating form are her great seas. Her vast bodies, stretching for hundreds and thousands of miles, her secrets beckoning the brave, curious, and fearful alike.

Water has held babies and secrets, her depths still a mystery but fascinating and enticing nonetheless. What wonders does she hold far beneath her surface? Only her victims might ever truly know. She has sunk many a ship, bringing unlucky seafarers to their demise and her depths, forever holding them prisoner in the secret nooks and crannies created just for them. Did they wrong her and that’s why they were claimed? Or, does water, like the gods themselves, require sacrifice for their worship, use and services?

Water’s waves, melodic and rhythmic. Calm and safe tickling the shore, creeping in and pulling back in a mesmerizing game. The crashing waves like a toddler learning to walk, steady and then breaking all at once, like feet stumbling over themselves inching closer up the coast. But her fierceness comes in bursts, crashing relentlessly at her edges, beating them over and over in a race against herself, to get a bit farther than the crash before.

Her best friend a celestial body high in the cosmos, forever being pulled and pushed in a never ending ruse of will they or won’t they. Water forever putting on a show, dancing and glistening in the light of the moon and the sun all while moving to the beat of her own drum. The reprieve never arriving as the constant push and pull forever entangles them in an eternal dance.

The life held below in an ever-changing balance of predator and prey, searching for the light in the deepest of corners. The sea heals the soul and all that could ever be broken.

——————-
For a bit of context I have synesthesia and as I was writing it and continue to reread it, I can feel every word and feel what it’s like to be a raindrop or a crashing wave and every word in between. I see the colors at the surface, slowly draining to the bottom and feel the change in temperature, depth, and pressure. I hear the mingling of the civilizations and their screams when they’re being wiped away. I feel everything in life and I’m trying to channel it more into writing so hopefully others can have at least some idea of how I see and experience the world.

Water

I like to channel my synesthesia into writing. For me, these aren’t just words on the page, but the feeling of being a raindrop or a wave and the very essence of water. I hope it’s okay to be tagged under artwork as writing is my art. I hope you enjoy reading it and would love any thoughts or emotions it might invoke for you.

Stargazing - Skinakas Observatory?

Hiya, my hubby and I are currently in Crete staying on the north side of the island on our honeymoon! We are planning to rent a car on Wednesday so we can go to the Skinakas Observatory free day. We want to see the stars and thought this would be an incredible opportunity.
Does anyone have any advice/suggestions for the free day. Is the observatory actually as busy as they make it seem on the free days?

Does this glitch actually make for a good snap this week?

So I’m curious to know what you think about this? This wasn’t my idea at all, but I went into Mickey’s house to talk to him for the photo challenge and instead glitched and ended up in the sky. Couldn’t go anywhere or add anyone that wasn’t already there. You can see some silhouettes in the background.
I obviously can’t go back and retake it, but I’m wondering if I should do a proper one or might this work?

A lazy day with Tamatoa

I love all the picnics and movie nights, but I decided to do something a little different :)

Free for the taking :)

Closed for the moment. Happy to put a few more things out - looking to get rid of all of this! All have been collected through natural game play.
First come first served. The potions are in stacks of 5. Great to use or to uncraft for fish and dreamlight.
By no means do you have to give anything in return, but if you want to, I’d happily take any extra berries or sunflowers :)

Open valley jic this is true :)

CLOSED - (but happy to still give these away later if anyone needs ☺️)
Hey everyone - in case this is true, I thought I’d open my valley to help with potions. I know I’d be livid if I had to wait for 3 days.
The potions are two each and the meals are in stacks of 10.
Absolutely no need but if you wanted to give anything in return, I’ll take any extra sunflowers, berries or basil, even it’s just the few that have spawned.
Feel free to zip around, pixel shard hunt, buy anything from stalls, steal any flowers or clear any of the obstacles for resources you might nee, even harvest the pumpkins in the FL. If you are going to stay, I’d love for you to see my glade, especially at a night time of day when it glows. Happy Valleying and happy update day :)

What Sign of the Times looks like

I just saw Harry at Wembley (1 July) and decided to write what Sign of the Times looks and feels like. I have synesthesia and see and feel colour and image with sound and instruments.

Sign of the times - orange swirls ascending to the heavens, the tips of the swirls fading into white specks of dust, dancing in the light
The swirls in front of a pink pastel sky, white wispy streaks across the sky reflecting the morning glow of yellow

A breath of fresh air as the music controls your breath, bringing your lungs full of oxygen. Traveling all the way to your head to give a clear picture of joys - fresh meadows and cut flowers, sunsets painted on the sky, the glowing sun twinkling on the water

Realm weaver speculation - all in good fun :)

To preface I have not had a chance to play the new update yet, so I don’t know what any of the messages say.
I haven’t heard anyone say this, but could it be Ernesto de la Cruz? He is a villain and I feel like he would be someone who was annoyed by Meeko and just arrogant enough to throw berries back in our faces and want to reclaim his name to be in people’s favor again.
Would love to know your thoughts

How I see the year and seasons

Curious to know if anyone else views the seasons in a certain way! I view them in a circle and by a spectrum of colour.
There are some other shades in my brain but I was limited to with the colours I had

My experience with a word - Rot

Someone challenged me to write about the word rot. This is my experience with the word.

Rot is both decay, regrowth and consistently stagnant. It’s both holey and whole, new and old. Rot is nature but man made hellscape. It’s brown, like the light reflecting on the forest floor drying after a downpour. It’s the dark, sodden Earth slowly giving up the drink, holding in as much as possible before the sky takes it all back. Rot is that period the Earth is begging again for a drink, feeling the effects like a hangover.
Rot is the period before rebirth. But, no rain takes us to driest of dry, a sandy wasteland, forever changing with the breath of Earth. The breath, inconsistent and unpredictable, sculpting mountains, carving valleys and burying secrets. The rot is the closest thing to anew, without it, there would be no beauty in winged creatures, no new skin on the scaly, and no growth in the mind. The rot is the journey we all take. The sunsets glinting on the ocean, warming the last bit of the day. The soft hues of pinks and oranges, dancing goodbye across the sky. The salty air engulfing the night’s impending embrace, the full-body hug of the warm sea. The sun “rotting” away to give way for the howls of the world, the tiny twinkles, high in the sky, the blues and purples fading to black. Rot is the daily beauty of life. The sweet aromas of tomatoes slowly breaking down in a pot, the wafts of garlic swirling through the air, mixing with the smells of the beginning of spring flying through the the open window. The memories intertwined with the breeze, whisking you around the world, to places, scents, sounds, and colors of other lifetimes of time gone by. Rot, the most essential piece of existence, the key to finding, changing, growing, and most of all, living.
