i just find it so funny whenever the guy has to embarrass himself in order to get to a certain goal or go through a fuck ton of bullshit for no reason (“ermm acktually there was a reason” shutthefuckup)

theres a man gooning in front of you in your own home when youd much rather be out stalking your boss and collecting belongings from her. another smaller example is that scene in season 5 when he texted that guard pretending to be his ex girlfriend and saying shit like “i want you so bad rn” to distract him

- the most fucked up example of this would be one i made up myself: ok imagine this, joe has found a new woman to obsess over, but hes like “oh shit she has a boyfriend” so he researches said boyfriend and finds out he used to date someone else

so he catfishes him pretending to be his ex girlfriend who wants him back (to get him to cheat on joe’s obsession, after which he can sneak in and perform his lil D.E.N.N.I.S system on her). and the boyfriend falls for it immediately and eventually begins fucking sending him nudes……… to not get sussed out, joe has to pretend to be a woman somehow

this would never happen in the show but it’s just to kinda give an idea of what i mean. pls dont take this too seriously but ALSO maybe more of joe goldberg being a fish out of water like this helps sell the idea that stalking is bad and not this cool clever thing he does.

like he unnecessarily drags himself through so much mud in order to get to the person he thinks is the love of his life (she said hi to him once and he thought “are you flirting with me” like a nanosecond later)

oh boy im prolly gonna get alot of shit for this but im prepared

instead of just “hey there, person on the phone, can you give me a recap of the previous 4 seasons? thanx.” and that’s about it

It’s hard to pin down, but the best I can describe it is she acts like a cringy teenage girl despite being (i assume) in her late 20s? I’m sure the actress is great, she did a pretty good job as well, but the dialogue that was written was soooooooooooooooooo inSUFFERABLE

it’s beena year, so the lord farquad jokes should probably have died down by now, so what do you guys think of her character?

rewatching the entire show rn for comedic value and i actually like candace’s character a bit more, at first she seemed like she was just trying to get justice on joe but she actually had more chances to keep joe away from her (for example restraining order, which joe wouldve probably tried to break which wouldve gotten him into more trouble, either that or he’d move on to someone else and leave her alone). she’s honestly not very good of a person at all (duh she cheated), she’s moreso morally grey (using forty for example, who also isn’t a great person, but yknow)

she’s more flawed and layered than i initially gave her credit for on my first watch (when i was like 15). she also tries to be like joe and use the same tactics but she makes alot of rookie mistakes
