Thumping noises from the unit upstairs
Hi, I just wanted to ask for advice. It’s my first time renting and the unit above me has been making thumping noises every night between 7pm to 10pm. I’m not sure if they’re doing jumping jacks or nakatreadmill sila but I do hear and feel the thumps from the living room kahit nasa kwarto ako with the doors closed. It lasts for around 2 hrs every day. It’s especially frustrating kasi my entire dinner time would just be filled with thumps from the ceiling. And pag nakakaidlip ako to rest after work, nagigising ako sa thumps. I can’t seem to get it on record though, my microphone can’t pick up the impact and I just hear static. I honestly would rather hear loud noises than constantly feel na parang pinupokpok yung ceiling, medyo masakit sa ulo. What’s the best thing to do in this situation po? I’m scared to send a report kasi I’m worried na it might backfire and they would be louder.
There are also small cracks forming sa wall below nung area kung san pinakamalakas yung thumps but I don’t know anything about buildings at all and if enough force ba yun to cause cracks sa walls beneath.
Also, are tenants allowed to submit reports? Or need pa ng approval ni owner? Apologies if dumb question, I’m very new to renting 🙏
