Truly discontinued homages are okay, but current releases are not.

Referring to the Chinese watches thread. Homaging a vintage Tudor sub or, say, a Baby Ploprof is okay IMO. Homaging a Tudor Black Bay or, say, a Seamaster NTTD, is not. Also, saying 'homaging' is okay too. YMMV.

The Prospex 1965 heritage diver (SPB143 etc), is the real true GADA.

Sharp enough for desk diving, handsome enough for a suit, casual enough for shorts and t-shirt, and capable enough for swimming in the ocean.

A lot of of people expect a lot from Seiko, including lower prices, but this is the sweet spot for the entire watch world.

Can stock level on AliX be trusted?

The SN0144 is out of stock on the SM website, but in-stock on the SM AliX store. Can the stock level on AliX SM store be trusted? I don't want to buy and wait for production.

Would you be happy with this?

IMO, this bezel insert is badly misaligned. When rotated into place, it sits either substantially before after 12. WD support have told me this is normal tolerance and I should accept it (with $20 compensation). I've bought two watches from WD and they've both had issues. I ordered this after WD said they'd fixed their QC. What do you think? Would you be happy with this?

Returning faulty watch to China for repair. Any advice?

Hi, bought a Farasute with a dud movement ('modified Hangzhou'). They've asked me to return it for repair. Does anyone have some best practice advice? I'm in Australia. Thanks in advance.

Hi, doc has me on NSAIDs for golfer's elbow (I've adjusted my routine).

I know that the science says NSAIDs hinder hypertrophy if used chronically (chronically in this sense includes 1 pill per day over a month, my dose), but my question is for the experienced people here. How badly does it affect? Like, no gains?

I'd consider my usage a low dose, this pill (arthrexin, 25mg) can be taken three times a day, I'm taking it once.

Might get slammed for this but IDC. The OG frogmantle bracelet was irritating and scratching my wrist. This cheap fliplock from AliX fixed it. I like the way the endlinks fit, doesn't irritate, has better screws, and is still vintage janky. This style fliplock came out in '67, the 5513 was discontinued in '89, so it's suitable 'enough'. If I get adventurous I may swap the Frogmantle clasp onto it
