This clown startled one of my Dwarves while he was collecting some gems
I planned on this being a much larger problem but was pleasantly surprised with the outcome

I passed the core 1 exam about two weeks ago with 797, then passed the core 2 today with 832. I checked the CompTIA website, but so far it only lists the score for the core 1 exam. When will I be able to see the core 2 exam and my certification? Thank you
The only one that I can think of is Burger Avenue. I guess Plum Tree was also a drive-thru but it's closed.
What are some of the best locally owned drive-thru places? I wanted to treat myself to something quick because I need to get back to studying, lol. Thanks
I built a catapult nearby later and splattered one of them with a granite boulder
I wasn't sure if this was already known in the world of Dwarven science but I recently domesticated gigantic tortoises and had them hanging around outside my fortress because I thought it was funny, and they proved to be very useful. A siege appeared with a trained war cave dragon, which immediately rushed over to one such tortoise and began trying to kill it. The gigantic tortoise retreated into its shell and the war cave dragon tired itself out ineffectually striking it. A squad of Dwarves then killed the dragon pretty quickly.
How sturdy are gigantic tortoises? I know that I've killed a few, so they can definitely be damaged by steel weapons at least. Are they resistant to the metals that goblins typically carry? They live a long time, I think they'd make useful sentries roped up around outside lol
Sorry if this post is vague, I'm not sure what the problem is and I'm looking for ideas. I've been using Mint on a desktop for about two years. Did an update about 3 days ago and suddenly it started booting very slowly and running slow too. I tried to restore from a Timeshift capture but it failed. So I just formatted the drive and reinstalled Xia. But it's still booting and running slowly.
I did a check on the disk from the included utility and it came back as saying the drive is OK. CPU and RAM usage are both low, despite the poor performance. What could be the problem?
Thank you for any suggestions.

Hello, I'm taking this course next term and wanted to start preparing ahead of time. I've seen some people say that it is mostly theoretical, and others have said their are programming assignments to be done in Java. Is the course hard or easy, and are there any videos I can watch or things I can read now to get a head start on it?
Thank you for any suggestions
Hello, on the CompTIA website it says that you can renew multiple certifications if you retake the exam for your highest certification. However, which certifications are 'higher" than others doesn't seem to be stated anywhere on the website. For instance, I know that Security+ is higher than A+, but this isn't explicitly stated, to my knowledge.
Does anyone have a diagram or something that can be referred to? Thank you
This is the story of my fortress so far. The queen showed up, her one and only skill was "legendary gelder." She had 14 children, so I guess her husband got off lucky. She was killed almost immediately in a goblin siege. So I burned down a bunch of goblin cities in retaliation. Then another siege showed up with the leader of their civilization, a gecko demon as old as recorded history. I killed him, and the goblins chose a human weaver as their new leader afterwards. Their new master worshiped the bronze colossus that I've been using as target practice inside my fortress, so when I captured her I threw her into the pit with the colossus.
I might quit this fortress now though. I sent some of my military out on a raid, but one got stuck in the fortress and I'm running into that glitch where the squads just never return. Kind of a bummer to lose 20+ legendary soldiers.
The first year I had Dwarf, Human, and Elf caravans come by. They all brought the usual items, and I bought some grizzly bears from the Humans. It's been 5 years since embark and now the caravans only bring meat/plants/cheese and whatever I've specifically requested (steel bars, grizzly bears). And now they don't even send diplomats to ask (except the Dwarves).
Why would this be happening? I've given them great trade deals and offerings. I normally buy leather/cloth/grizzly bears when they're brought incidentally, but now it's only food and I'd like more things to buy. Thanks for any suggestions.
I believe those are the next two courses that I have to take in the forced guided pathway. Were they difficult? I'm working through my current course pretty quickly, and I would like to prepare for these before the next term starts because I think I took calculus in high school and got a C (lol).
Thanks for any comments, and good luck in your learning journey!
Hello, I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I bought a Nook Glowlight 3, turned on the developer mode over USB, and when I connected it to my computer (Linux Mint) it isn't being detected. I've got Calibre installed, and the error message I get when trying to detect drive is:
"Unable to detect the NOOK_COLOR disk drive. Either the device has already been ejected, or your kernel is exporting a deprecated version of SYSFS."
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
As of yet I don't have Koreader installed, but I was under the assumption you have to do this through Calibre. Please correct me if I'm wrong, and thanks for any help.
Hi, I've been a programmer for a decade, worked in a few research labs, very proud etc. But when I apply for jobs now, everyone seems to want a bachelor's degree. So I'm planning on spending another year finishing up my degree and hoping to get RCHSA at the same time.
Is this enough to consistently get job opportunities? I've been paid to do DNA analysis and to push shopping carts and the whiplash is getting old, lol. Thanks for any comments, hope you have a good day.
Hi, I'm taking CS 2401 in the upcoming term. I've been programming for years now so I'm sure I'll do well, but I want to take it seriously. Has anyone taken this class before? Is it heavier on the discussions or assignments? Last term I prepared templates for every assignment I did before writing it, and was going to do it again this term. Thanks for any advice and good luck in your studies!
Yes, hello. Just recently I told my friend that I was on TV as a blurry blob sitting in a chair for one second behind a baby being mauled by a fish, and he didn't believe me! (even after I showed him the video).
I was present at the filming of the dramatization of the snakehead fish attacking the baby in the "Killer Snakehead" episode of season 2 probably about 15 years ago in Florida. My father's friend's son had just gotten married and had a baby, and his wife and baby were the stars of the snakehead fish attack at their house by the water. My father wanted me to be there for some reason, and so I was.
I am pleading with any of you to offer ideas on how to confirm that this is true, so that my friend is forced to admit the veracity of my odd life memory. Thank you!
Hi, I'm looking for a plain text thesaurus that can be downloaded and worked with easily. For a dictionary, I've got OPTED but I'm struggling to find a thesaurus that's just as good plain text. I tried Project Gutenberg but the three or so that they had were very lacking.
Any suggestions for a plain text thesaurus?
Hi, not sure where to ask this so apologies in advance if this is the wrong place. It's just that I heard about the OPTED probably about 10 years ago and from what I understand it's based on the Project Gutenberg Etext of Webster's Unabridged Dictionary. But as far as I know, neither has been updated in years. Is this accurate? And is there a reason why?
I'm doing a little programming project and went hunting for a dictionary and thesaurus, and so the question crossed my mind. Thank you
