i work as a baker starting at 4am for half of the week. the other half, i am there anywhere from 6am to 9am. i never get consistent sleep due to my fluctuating work schedule. i need help prioritizing my sleep schedule and could use any tips or recommendations y’all have. i track my sleep with a watch and my sleep cycle app. doing so, i’ve noticed i feel best rested after 9-10 hours of sleep. that seems impossible, since i would need to go to sleep at 5-6pm and i have a hard time winding down
my current regime consists of:
- taking a low dose edible
- attempting to stay off my phone (i try to watch a low-stimulate show since it’s less disruptive. i know tv is still harmful)
- using a heating pad to relieve my back pain
- taking my meds (including magnesium glycinate)
- using a nod pod (weighted eye mask) to relax and block out light
side note: melatonin doesn’t work well — i used to take 20mg to be able to fall asleep and have now built a tolerance.
i had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out on May 11th, so a little over a month ago. i had my surgery at a university’s student-ran dental clinic. everything went well — no complications and weren’t impacted. the student did my left side, and the oral surgeon took care of my right. i’m still experiencing some discomfort in my lower left extraction socket. compared to the other three, this hole hasn’t closed up much, which causes food to get stuck constantly which causes discomfort. i brought this up at my one-month follow-up, but not much was said beyond them saying it looks like it’s healing (i mentioned it at the start of my appointment and forgot to mention later on)
has anyone else experienced this? is this normal?
everywhere else fades pretty evenly, except the underside of my right forearm. it starts looking like this after about 4 days
this is 10 days out from using loving tan 2 hour express, in addition to using tanning drops in my lotion every couple days. i exfoliate really well, i think. i use bondi sands remover, soak in the tub with oil added, then scrub off with an exfoliating mitt. i moisturize at least twice a day (vaseline cocoa radiant).
does anyone know what might be causing this? and is it possible to temporarily fix it so i dont have to do my entire tanning routine?
looking for ones that specifically mix into your lotion.
any recommendations are appreciated!
i am a baker at a small local bagel shop. we do what we call “day specials” which essentially means we bake a different unique bagel each day. we have done SOO many bagels, but i’m starting to run out of ideas…
examples of some of our most popular
butterscotch, fruity pebbles, banana nut chocolate chip, carrot cake, cotton candy, roasted red pepper, mexican street corn, cheesy pickle ranch, pesto provolone
any recommendations are appreciated!
every time i reapply self tanner on my hands it looks good for a bit and then within a couple hours of rinsing, it starts coming off.
does anyone know to prevent this? or even fade the harsh line?
MORE INFO:
- i use loving tan 2 hour express (my last application was a week ago. the rest of my body has faded normally)
- i do work in food service, so i’m constantly washing my hands and wearing gloves
every one i’ve tried has a chalky aftertaste, but sometimes protein shakes are the only thing i can tolerate.
any recommendations are greatly appreciated!
i am ghostly pale… like you can see my veins pale. most tanners look orange on me because of this. i’ve been a tried and true clear/ gradual product girl for a while, but im sick of how inconsistent my results are and am wanting to switch to a tanner with guide color
i recently started using loving tan 2 hour express mousse and i do like it but here are my complaints and compliments:
cons:
- rinsing in 2 hours does not give dark enough results for my liking
- pricey $$$
- starts getting patchy after a bit
pros:
- little to no smell
- transfer is minimal (even before rinse off)
- dries quickly with very minimal stickiness
- easy to apply
here are my qualifications for the “perfect” tanner:
- has guide color that can be washed off in 2-4 hours
- fades evenly
- not extremely sticky or smelly
- medium-dark color
any recommendations are greatly appreciated!
i’m looking for a women’s multivitamin that doesn’t include iron and preferably isn’t designed for people above the age of 50.
i am on a birth control that suppresses my menstrual cycle, which means i don’t need the additional iron that comes in most women’s multivitamin. (i learned the hard way by nearly causing myself iron poisoning😅)
i would greatly appreciate any recommendations. thank you!
I'm looking for a women’s multivitamin that doesn’t contain iron and isn’t specifically meant for women over 50. I’m on birth control that completely suppresses my menstrual cycle, which means I don’t need extra iron because my body doesn’t flush out the excess each month. (learned this the hard way by nearly causing myself iron poisoning😅)
any recommendations would be appreciated!!
